do ugly people have a right to normal lives - relationships, marriage, families?.
about half of us must be below "average" attractiveness.
maybe xjws are on average more gorgeous than the general population.. what can you tell about a person by their facial beauty or lack of it?
Maybe the topic should have been 'Do Ugly People Deserve to Live', Hitler. Im playing.
You are right, the Watchtower society does blank, Im assuming on the subject of charity. Interesting point.

EVERYONE has the right to live a 'normal' life, nomatter what they look like. Disabled people and underprivileged people also have the same rights as everyone else.. do you really question yourself about this type of stuff?? Sorry if I sound a little offensive but it just seems like a really dumb question.

:By obscuring the distinction between DF and DA everyone will be happy in their assumption that all who leave are drunken, drug-crazed, demonized fornicators.
Walter once again I think you hit it right on the nail dude.

I've read a lot about the Exclusive Brethern. I think the witnesses are becoming more like them in some ways. For example the Brethern all have to work together per church regulations. In recent years I've noticed that witnesses seem to be doing more secular work together. That's just one example. Its funny how things are changing with them so subtly that they don't seem to even notice it.

I never expected the Witnesses to be sucessesful at becoming a mainstream religion.. they seem to be going the other way - tightening the reigns. Interesting to see what effect this has on the rank and file.
i bought the book 'who wrote the bible' by richard friedman.. wow!
this guy is a really respected scholar, not some crackpot-prediction-making jackass.
as a typical jw, i didn't know much about how absurd the idea of moses writing the first five books of the bible really is.
I bought the new revised edition so hopefully its up to date. He did say that he has a new idea of who one of the writers are - don't tell me I haven't finished it yet!

:Now, no one knows if they elders did it, or if the publisher did it themselves.
Good point JustTickledPink. I think this is an attempt to stifle curiousity about why a person would ever do such a thing as disassociate themselves from 'God's organization'. Now everyone is just lumped in together. The rumor mill will just process it as 'wrongdoing' and move on, putting all the blame on the person and not on the Org. Pretty clever.
