Is the society shooting themselves in the foot with the new DF policy?
by truth_about_the_truth inlet's face it, it seems like a simplification of the df process as many of you have already mentioned.. within the 6 million or so jw worldwide, there has to be a good number of ppl that are on the fringes of being dfed.
in the past, it took time to technically df these ppl because of the no-shows at judicial hearings and appeals.
also dfing a person can be delayed when no actual proof can be provided of the sin committed.

I really think this new announcement is because there is probably a surge in the number of people disassociating because of the information they can get on places like the internet. When somebody disassociates it creates much more of a buzz amongst the R&F than a regular disfellowshiping. Now everyone can just speculate that the person has become a fornicating satanic crack-head and feel okay about it.

I used to insert my own words too when I was a kid, for laughs.. or leave out a bunch of words and blare out the last one in the verse.. kinda geeky.
'Hey there all you Thirsty Ones' was one of my favorite tracks. I liked the slower ones. The fast ones were just plain cheezy. Some were so mind blowingly boring hey.

since i had nothing better to do today, i decided to finally take the time it takes to understand why dub chronology on that date is wrong.

If the WT were to "reform" would you stay or go back?
by confusedjw inthis thought has sprung from recent threads and speculation over the new book.
i know many who post here are still active jw's or ones who were df'd, but may have not totally left the belief system.
many have trouble with the methods and policies of the wt concerning dfing, restrictions, blood, local elders etc.

I know a girl that has been DF 4 times and the elders told her to get lost?
by booker-t inyou would think after one time of humiliation a person would run from the jw's and never ever step foot inside a kh but my co-worker is in her mid-40's and has been df a total of 4 times since her baptism in 1979. i have talk to her over and over again but she said she is going to meet with the elders and asked to being reinstated.
she is completed shunned by her jw mom and her uncle is a co. i feel sorry for her because she feels so guilty all the time and fears being destroyed at armaggeddon.
she is totally wasting her life running and begging the elders for forgivness.

Is the Society's message to JW's getting stronger?
by truthseeker induring a dinner conversation with a loyal jw, he mentioned that the society seems to be making stronger statements to jw's.
he mentioned the "keep on the watch" brochure, and how it seemed to be for jw's as well as the public.
he acknowledged the "personal questions" the society were asking us, in the brochure - how pointed and direct they are, even asking you to rank your physical and spiritual activities on a scale of 1 to 10. .
