it's called "the history of god... the 4,000 year quest of christianity, judism, and, islam".. i just read the introduction so far and from what i can tell the author shows how the idea of god changes with every generation.
and the way the 3 main monotheistic religions have viewed god over the centuries.

although, i have not been victim to the same level of damage from the wts as many of you on this site, i have noticed that it is very difficult to fight such a large entity with deep pockets and passionate (though misled) supporters.. .
since i am still in the very early stages of leaving/fading, i wonder:.
i have already spent the vast majority of my life sacrificially serving the interests of this org.
I made a promise to myself that I would stick around on these boards for at least two years and help doubters and people expelled from the dubs. I swore it to the memory of an old old friend of mine, a little boy named Adrian Yates who died years ago from not accepting a blood transfusion. I would have declined a transfusion the same as he did when I was his age.
So I say keep fighting.

i just watched the new star wars flick (awesome) and noticed a lot of parallel's in it with the jay-dub world view.
a lot of my old witness friends are hard core fans, and i think that if they ever were to remember me and and make that spiritual connection in the movie, they would liken me to aniken skywalker falling to the dark side and becoming the evil sneering apostate, darth vadar.
i probably would have thought something retarded like that when i was a dumb ass witness.

when i was a witness, i shared a house with an elder/pioneer named herb.
herb was in his eighties, and he had paid off his two-bedroom house long ago, so he would offer the extra bedroom to local brothers.
it was a good deal, and herb got some company at the house, so everyone benefited.. for being in his eighties, herb was exceptionally fit.
My grandmother died a few weeks ago in Newfoundland. No JW sent a condolence card or even a phone call to my mom, even though she is still technically a witness and an old friend of all the witnesses in that small town.. because of me, because I went back to be a pallbearer in my nans funeral. It's fuckin sick.

Hey EvilForce just out of curiosity, how does the Watchtowers postion on blood sound to you strictly from a medical perspective? Like say you were never a witness but had to help one medically, read the scripture in Acts about obstaining from blood and then heard about what components they are allowed, and the explanations for these exceptions. What would you honestly think?
