I look like there was a fire on my face and someone tried to put it out with a pitchfork.

did anyone grow up listening to the bible dramas or bible story book on cassette?.
did anyone else find jehovah and his pronouncements very scary?
it's like letting your kid watch an r rated violent movie right before bed.
I had the Bible story book memorized before I could even read because of those damn tapes. That writing on the wall story still creeps me out. You know you're a hardcore braindead cultist when you haven't got the common sense to keep that junk away from little kids.

sunday's talk.
my dad came home mad and told me.
the speaker said "that all the main chruches of this world have joined the un but only the witnesses have not committed fornication by joining her.
:My dad was DF for the same thing. It took him three years to get back in.
LOL, why the hell did he go back??

i have, and i honestly don't seem to be getting the repercussions across.
my parents and siblings are not witnesses, so when i told them about the jc letter arriving, they just shrug their shoulders and say "so what?
have you ever had that experience?
:Have you ever had that experience?
Totally know what you are saying. Normal people just don't understand how much of a hold cult's have over people. It's like trying to describe the colour red to a blind person. Every time I've ever mentioned my previous cult existence to a normie I've gotten reactions like, "That sh*t is crazy" or "Why didn't you just tell them to f**k off?" Of course I totally understand why they feel that way now because the haze of cultish prison has faded.. but when I did mention it to people in the past I was a little surprised with the reactions I got.
I love normies.

They live in a parallel universe. Nothing can touch their little fake-ass bubble existence. There are dark days ahead indeed when the truth comes out. I predict a lot of very, very pissed off people.

.
along the lines of run dont walk's post, i'd like to get your thoughts about your spouse being addicted to drugs, specifically meth.. thanks.
Depends. I occasionally smoke dope.. if it were just a recreational drug once in a while - big deal. On the other hand Meth is scary stuff as are the other biggies : crack, heroin, and fundie Christian religious sects. I'd probably be hitting the road.

i had a hard time accepting that jehovah's witnesses are a cult.
i would even agree that they might be "cult like" but i didn't want to accept that i indeed was part of a cult.....what about you?
It all gave so easily.. it all just slipped away. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.

matt can't go to bed without the radio on, so he had it on a liberal political news station last night.
the topic they were discussing gave me a twinge of paranoia and i was hoping that maybe some of you could help me out here....they were talking about how religion is playing a big part in the war in iraq and everything.
and that made the little mom voice go off in my head...''i'm telling you jobeth.
Nothing's going to happen. We are all going to grow old (hopefully) and die one day. Mankind may eventually blow themselves up. Have a good time and smell the flowers, while you still can.

from the notes of "incognita".......... saturdays talk, return to the shepherd of your souls, was basically a 20 minute talk applied to those who've drifted or are drifting away; the basic jist was that we're all losers and that we'd better get reactivated and have a renewed vitality for the truth because without it, directly quoting "incognita", "our life is empty and meaningless and we'll have no joy".. inactive ones need the help of the elders because we're sinners and have lost our love for gee-hobah.
(so much for them not being able to read hearts.
) we have simply lost our zeal, and got carried away with the anxieties of life.
That was awesome, thanks Storm. I hope you give more rundowns on all of the parts, especially anything involving 'apostates'.
