why i say that the jw religion is based on logical fallacies:
you have a religion that claims to be sent by god and who has the closest thing to the "truth" of his word the bible and how they have love amongst themselves, therefore being the most godly.

Why are honest questions considered apostasy?
by Rayvin inthis is why as i was growing up (raised in "the truth") i never asked questions.
i never understood the birthday issue among other holidays.
i never asked because i was scared i would be looked at as an apostate or as someone being worn down by the wicked association.

Wow, you totally nailed it Leolaia. Being born a JW is a curse passed on to us by our parents. The ultimate choice is made by the first person to come into the cult, and then passed on down over the years through their children. That is so scary.

- Governing Body Stew
- 3 cups Theodore Jaracz, cubed, cooked (can use leftover Jarcaz )
1 large zucchini squash
1 medium green pepper
1 large onion
4 medium potatoes - 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 (8-ounce) can of tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (8-ounce) can of peas (or 1 cup frozen peas)
- Cut up all vegetables.
- Put oil in large pot and heat. Add the cut-up fresh vegetables and keep stirring for 5 minutes. Put in tomatoes and enough water to cover. Add salt and pepper. Cover and let cook slowly until veggies are cooked (approximately 45 minutes); turn contents occasionally.
- Drain peas and add just before stew is done. Add the cubed cooked Theodore Jaracz and warm through.
Makes 6 servings.

How to reach the naughty dubs who use the internet...
by misspeaches ini've been having a bit of a browse around on www.myspace.com looking at the jw groups.. there are so many listed there and heaps of young jws seem to frequent the sites.. how feasible would it be for someone to setup a jw group under the guise of being pro and slowly but surely bring up questions like... 'hey my history teacher taught from <insert publication name here> that jereuselum (sp) wasn't destroyed in 607bce but in 587bce.
is that true?
whats that all about???'.

I'm just gonna say one more thing to you Buck. The Witnesses are a hurtful, nasty cult. Whatever you do is your decision obviously, just don't forget the people you've read about on this board and how their lives have been affected by the dubs.
Dropping the JW's is the right thing to do. How and if you do it is up to you.
