she also related to me how in the hour it took to burn the demon paper prayer, everyone around them getting sick and falling into convulsions.. i guess she was a little perturbed that i was .
The Dub's are full of people that see floating cd cases, hidden calculators, re-arranged salt shakers, flickering lights at the memorial, cat's peeing in unusual places, cold draft's unexplainably seeping through houses.. ect. f*cking ECT.. what can you expect when people who are already pychologically weak are bombarded with stories of how the "Demons" are against them and will stop at nothing to freak them out and/or drag them out of "the truth". I feel embarassed for them.

This is the original JW smurf urban legend, and it's what caused the entire uprising of Dubs vs. the Smurfs:
A little girl took her smurf doll to the Sunday meeting. Every time the speaker would say the word "Jehovah", the smurf's little eyes would grow larger and larger. Finally the smurf couldn't take any more, jumped up and ran out of the Kingdom Hall, screaming all the way out.
Word of this incident spread like wildfire throughout the JW community and congregations, even being mentioned directly at a circuit assembly.

i must say, i never thought that i would see the day when i would find a site about disillusioned (mostly) jehovah's witnesses, but low and behold...one truly exists.

for instance: ive read on hear many times that the wt promotes the idea that everyone whos not a witness are not friend material or will be destroyed at armageddon.

during the last few years that i was a jw i formed an opinion more and more of how i thought god was cruel and didn't understand or care about how his actions affect people.
i started to believe that we humans were just his little play toys and like a mean kid, he'd just kill off some now and then for whatever reason without any concern for his "toys".
in wondering how he could justify killing so many at armageddon, killing so many in the time before jesus came to earth, judging people who are in an imperfect state just because they happen to live at the time of armageddon but everyone else being judged in a perfect state without satan's influence i started thinking that he really had no concern for people and maybe even enjoyed the thought of those who would be "weeping and gnashing their teeth" right before they die forever.
Good question. I really have to remind myself sometimes that I am a pretty good dude and I don't have to think that some God out there hate's me for whatever reason. It's one of those completely irrational feelings I occasionally get from all the years of conditioning.
I went with a cousin of mine to a funeral not long ago and he was talking about how God is good and that listening to a preacher talk about Jesus once in a while is okay. He just goes about his life thinking that he has a great afterlife in store and he's gonna have fun while he's here. It must be nice. I'm all about the fun while I'm here part but I think that's about it. I dreamed about the new system for too long and now all supernatural talk is bullshit to me. It might have been different if I never was a Dub. But who knows really.

this is the only time a non-mormon can get to see the inside of one of them.
once they are consecrated (i think that is what they call it) you can't get in unless you are a mormon wearring the special underwear and other requirements.
even mormons don't get in there very often.
I'd go for sure. See if one of them will teach you the secret handshake.
