I guess what I would have to ask is this. Did this person ever teach his children to tell lies ? Did he ever teach his children to go against what they believed in in their hearts ? I know the answer and it is NO ! So why would a parent go against everything they ever taught their children ? I personally would not go back just to be with my family. Life is just as sweet without them as it is with them. If their attitudes are as such to say we don't care if you believe or tell the elders a lie, then they themselves are also living a lie. I totally disagree with this, but at the same time if it were my friend I would still support their desire to regain their family. But it would not be something I would do not for anyone including my family. I too am shunned by my JW family and I would rather live without them than to live with them in a huge lie...............

NEED ADVICE ON FAKING A REINSTATEMENT
by Mary ina friend of mine who is df'd is seriously considering trying to get reinstated in order to have his family back in his life.
this is not an easy decision because he's fully aware that this isn't "the truth", but the pain of being excluded from normal family relations is really tearing him.
he has two choices: either move away from his family and try and start a new life, or bite the bullet, try and get reinstated and then do the fade.

Did anyone see or do a random act of kindness today?
by okie46 intoday while unloading my groceries, i witnessed a random act of kindness... someone in a ford explorer was waiting for a car to leave a parking spot so they could pull in there, they had been waiting for several minutes when finally the car in that spot backed out and left.
before the person in the ford explorer could pull into the spot, a lady in a ford taurus pulled on into that parking space.
the person in the ford explorer who had been patiently waiting, just sat there, they didn't honk or flip the person off, then the lady in the ford taurus realized that the other vehicle had been waiting for that spot and backed out to find another spot, letting the guy who had been waiting have his spot.

What disfellowshippable offenses have you done for the day?
by ColdRedRain intoday, as i celebrated the last day in the first half of my 20's, i started doing all sorts of sinful things.
i have done the following disfellowshippable offenses i've smoked weed, i've been on an unchaperoned date (with the most wonderful person in the world, my beautiful and still charming ex girlfriend), i've gotten drunk, talked to a disfellowshipped person, and to boot, i'm on an apostate site.

A Bad experience with JW is a permit for SIN?
by El Mariachi ini've been reading some sad experinces here... i dont see anyone talking about the bible... only how misserables the organization made their lives... ok ...so because of that...now i have permission to smoke marijuana and commit fornication?
this sounds pretty much like aa... and everybody having his/her personal "superior power" who is giving them the permit to do whatever they want...
i've been df for 4 years now and also dont agree with some jw teachings... why instead of blaming the wt for everything dont we look for the real truth in the bible and make things right.

AMEN ! I hate what they have done to my family, I hate the fact that they are arrogant lying boistrous jerks. And I am talking about the GB because they are the ones at fault. But at the same time it irritates me that people will follow this religion like puppets on a string instead of following their own feelings. It seems to me that when you become a witnoid you loose all sense of true love for their fellow man.
When the pharisees brought the whore to Jesus and asked him what he thought about this sin and what action should be taken. Did Jesus say to them hate her and never look at her again ? NO ! He said your sins are forgiven you go and sin no more. No tell me what JW follows that kind of love when they destroy families and turn away from people like they do.
You ask why I feel the way I do ? Well that described above just about puts the icing on the cake !

Sorry Mary, they're not going to make a law to fix the Borg.Unfortunantly I have to agree with this. I have a very dear friend who is suffering their loss of grandchildren, children and a wife from shunning. The scriptures say forgive and forget the same as you pray for your father to forgive and if you cannot forgive then the father can not forgive you. Wow how much love do we see from the Jehovahs Witnesses ? I see none ! ZILCH ! They are the most evil bunch of people I have ever met and they think that they got a free ride to the promise land ? C'mon who's heads are they trying to pass this over onto ? It makes me sick to see so many families broken because of shunning. It is not an action I believe that our Lord Jesus would have done.
There was a time when I could deal with a witness but today after reading all the horror stories and seeing my own friends hurt by this action I have become bitter. I don't like to be a bitter person and would do just about anything for anyone in need. But I am afraid that when the next witness comes to me with their bullshit I will unload on them. People don't like me when I get angry because I can get mean as hell. So I suggest for all you JW spies out there reading my post better put the message out "Stay away" "Bad DOG"
