You'll meet many different ones on varying paths of recovery from the WTS and it's hold on them. Some people are still angry, some bitter even. Some people are more militant about getting the word out in how the bOrg is a cult and how it can hurt people and families. Others are just beginning to learn what has happened to them. Then others have been through all the emotions and have come out on the other side, ready to help new ones learn the truth about the "truth" but without the anger and bitterness.
I personally, hold no hostility toward JWs individually. I don't "hate" the congregations, in that they are made up of people who have been fooled by the WTS. I have no use for the WTS. I hate how it controls and manipulates. I hate how it's ruined families, lives, even cost lives. If it's possible to "hate" an entity, then I guess I hate the WTS.
But even then, I try to be as unbiased and objective as possible. I try not to get caught up in rock throwing at them just because it's the "in" the thing to do for ex-JWs. I'll point out the lies and the deceit but I won't make up stuff or even stretch the truth. It does no good to make up shit about an organization that already has enough real skeletons in its closets to go after and expose.
But, you are right, to some, "hounding" the organization has become an obsession. They may not want to admit it to themselves, but the WTS still controls them, just not in the way it used to.
