I'm very new to this and please understand, but at one time or another most everyone here was a loyal and faithful witness.

If you disapproove of it or don't fit in as I don't. Why keep pounding at them it is like an obsession.

I would really like to know.

Are you sure you really want to know? I hope you're not here to invalidate the experiences of the people here.

Well, this site lets you, even encourages you, to be open about what you think of "The Organization". As far as I'm concerned, I WANT to expose the truth about the "Truth". I'm not hostile, just honest.

Yes I do want to know not invalidate anyones experiences at all. I was raised in the organization and indoctrinated from birth.

When I divorced my wife and was accused of totally false allegations and went before a judicial committee, people who I thought were my friends all my life bought into her crap except one I left and have never looked back, but I don't feel hatred or antagonism for the org.

Betrayal is a hard thing to swallow. It's really hard to realize everything you were taught was a lie. It's really hard to come to terms with everything you gave up to be a JW and then realize you may never get the chance to do some of those things.

The WTS controls every aspect of a JW's life; family, friends, faith and beliefs, job, marriage, everything. It left no area untouched. And it was all for a bunch of ever changing lies.

It's hard to not be angry.

If you are really interested I have a great deal of anger I guess I just suppress it you can look up a famous case from Sacramento Ca. 1985

I was the chief defendant, along with 4 of my employees. My mother in law and wife finally admitted they made the whole thing up and nearly destroyed my life. I was even on a few talk shows about it one was AM San Francisco and Oprah

I was even approached to write a book but for the sake of my children 4 of them all adults now It was best to remain anonymous. But lately I guess the latent anger is bursting forth.

You'll meet many different ones on varying paths of recovery from the WTS and it's hold on them. Some people are still angry, some bitter even. Some people are more militant about getting the word out in how the bOrg is a cult and how it can hurt people and families. Others are just beginning to learn what has happened to them. Then others have been through all the emotions and have come out on the other side, ready to help new ones learn the truth about the "truth" but without the anger and bitterness.

I personally, hold no hostility toward JWs individually. I don't "hate" the congregations, in that they are made up of people who have been fooled by the WTS. I have no use for the WTS. I hate how it controls and manipulates. I hate how it's ruined families, lives, even cost lives. If it's possible to "hate" an entity, then I guess I hate the WTS.

But even then, I try to be as unbiased and objective as possible. I try not to get caught up in rock throwing at them just because it's the "in" the thing to do for ex-JWs. I'll point out the lies and the deceit but I won't make up stuff or even stretch the truth. It does no good to make up shit about an organization that already has enough real skeletons in its closets to go after and expose.

But, you are right, to some, "hounding" the organization has become an obsession. They may not want to admit it to themselves, but the WTS still controls them, just not in the way it used to.

Hambeak, do you like being lied to? If you found out that someone you thought you were close too had been lying to you, wouldn't you be just a tiny bit angry? I know I would.

Well, the wts has lied to me, and most of the people on this board, and we have every right to angry in my book, and to do our best to expose their lies so that other unsuspecting ones don't fall for their bullshit. If that comes across as hostile, well so be it, the wts deserve it anyway.

    Hambeak,

I am really not that hostile towards the WTS. I am more bitter than hostile, but it slowly is becoming less and less.

The reason for my bitterness, is that I wasted over 20 years of my life hearing "Armaggedon is just around the corner". I was told the generation that was at "the age of awareness" in 1914 would go thru Armageddon. Then they said those BORN in 1914. Finally, they changed in 1995 it to whatever it is now.

I put off a lot of things that would have made my life easier in my middle age, but we were lead to believe the system would end "any day now".

About those on this site who are very hostile towards the WTS, I can see why some might be, but I don't think it is good for THEM to be so angry. The WTS could care less, plus it is not good for their physical or mental health.
