I heard on the news awhile back that those who attend church usually live longer, happier and healthier. It was said that there is only one record of anyone dying while at a church service. Most christians seem to be a more somber peaceful type of people. Most christians I know are not bitter, judgemental or sarcastic. So I guess it stands to reason for this.......

What musical instrument do you play?
by anewme ini spent many many years peforming on the cello before becoming a witness at 18 and being encouraged to quit all my symphony associations etc which i obediently did.
i was a soloist once with a community symphony and it was a wonderful experience!

by oldflame init only stands to reason for this thought because if a woman is in an abusive relationship and told to grin and bear it, while on the other hand teaching that they are supposed to give unto ceaser what is ceasers right ?
i understand that it means to obey all laws too right ?
well if they were not prejdice then the abused woman should be allowed to report such actions to her local authorities and be able to leave that relationship without any reprocussions from it.

Just because a person is a christian does not make them perfect without sin. The Lord say's we all fall short of his glory. But it is like you said quoting John 3:16, it is having faith in Christ that he lived, performed miracles, died on the cross and was raised from the dead 3 days later. It is true however that once a christian excepts the Christ as their messiah that they put on the new wardrobe. This wardrobe is the fruits of the spirit.
This does not mean that someone stops sinning but each moment of their lives they try to be more like Jesus even though that feat is not completly possible as we are not the messiah. This is where asking and claimong your sin to God for his forgiveness comes to play. If your not a christian your not going to ask God for forgiveness as this person does not have a faith in a God.
Jesus told his deciples when he was asked " How many times must a man forgive) Jesus said as many times as he ask for it. Asking forgiveness is part of Christ death on the cross and was part of his purpose.
