especially in regards to the mission statement or whatever in the awake, did they make an announcement or did they just hope no one would notice?
i just cant believe that there wasnt a mass exodus after that, my family never mentioned the change to me, i didnt even know til years later on this site.
I asked her what if she gets old and it hasn't come.... She is in her early 50's now. She had tears running down her face and told me that she has faith in Jehovah, that we will stop all this suffering and death. I wish I could get through to her.

To me personally, 'this generation' is the biggest stumble. They changed their view on the 1914 thing several times, and now they are trying to just make it go away by not talking (writing) about it anymore. The only right thing to do would be to admit that they were wrong, and to apologize profusely for allowing people to put their hopes up.
Actually, quite a few people left from the KH where my sister goes, when they made the change in 1995.

Also, if you want to rise up in ranks of authority, it certainly doesn't hurt to make substantial "donations" tot he Circuit Overseer or District Overseer. These are the guys who have the authority to give you power to take it away... and they sure do like it when someone buys then new expensive suits, or pays off their car, or upgrades their living facilities, or you buy them a golf club membership, etc...

Wow, is that hair for real?? My hair is pretty long, it goes just under the back pockets of my jeans. Indeed, washing is a royal pain. I don't use too much shampoo, but I do use between a third and a quarter of a large bottle of conditioner every time I wash it. After drying it with a towel, I have to use lots of detangler, and then it still takes me about 20 minutes to brush it out. I braid it as soon as it is brushed out, and it takes about 20 hours to dry completely. Any hair that grows longer than your waist becomes uncomfortable, imo. People also constantly make remarks about my hair, which I don't like, because I don't like the attention. The reason why my hair is so long is because I'm saving for a wig for a friend who has a hair problem and is going completely bald. I can't wait to have it cut.

Thank you all very much for the useful suggestions. I'm definitely going to try the vaporizer, as I have everything handy to do this. I'm looking forward to my day off, April 4th, to really attack the problem. I should teach the cat how to use the vacuum cleaner, because I'm sure she's just bored when I'm away from home so often. I was home for an hour between shifts this afternoon, and caught as many as I could in a bucket. Then I vacuumed, and I just got home from my other job, they seem to be less numerous as they were last night. It's between me and them now, and I'm planning on winning this battle.

I'm concerned that you seem to be making excuses for not getting rid of them. Seriously. Get your cat somewhere and get those damn bugs out of your house.Sometimes things aren't just that simple. The problem has 'exploded' recently, before that, I had a lot of them, but not enough to really worry about. Now that things have gotten worse, I am obviously planning on doing something about it, that's why I asked for suggestions. However, this being my busy time of year, I work about 90 hours a week, sometimes 3 different shifts a day. I usually go home for an hour between shifts, but that isn't long enough to do something drastic. I'm all by myself at two of my jobs, and at my third job, I have co-workers, but this time of year, we don't have back ups, so it's hard to take time off on any of the three jobs right now. I'm working 7 days a week right now, and my next day off is April 4th, that will be the day I will have to handle the lady bug problem.

HM, I vacuum all the time, somehow, they come right back. GGRR they are SO creeping me out tonight. I just had one in my neck.
Pwned, I doubt that I'd be allowed in a motel room with my cat, but thanks for the suggestion. I'd be too afraid that the cat would escape and get lost. She's like my kid, you know?
myself, I work at a health food store and have been looking into it, trying to find a good product. But as you said, you still have to get the cat out of the house. I might have to wait until spring hits, which will be at least another month up here. So far, the ladybugs were annoying, but especially the past couple days, they are really starting to scare me for some reason.

Now, last summer, a bunch of ladybugs decided to move in with me. It didn't seem to be a problem until they started multiplying. At this point - and I'm not exaggerating- my place would do great in a Hitchcock movie. The ladybugs are everywhere, and there seem to be more and more every day. They are starting to give me the creeps big time! When I drink a cup of tea, I have to cover it after every sip. Right at this moment, there are about 20 ladybugs on the monitor of my computer, I can hardly read. This afternoon, when I opened my lunch at work, there was a dead ladybug inside my sandwich. They 'cluster' in the corners of every room, as well as inside my cupboards. It's safe to say that there are thousands of them in my place right this second. I have been thinking about bombing my place, but that is impossible with the cat inside. She doesn't go out much this time of year. Please, please, any suggestions are welcome. Is there anything I can use that's cat-friendly? I've been going around with a bucket, catching them and throwing them out, but it feels like taking water out of the ocean with an eye dropper.
