  i received this from someone who needs to be anonymous....this one will turn your stomach.

  it's supposedly from a sister in the brazil branch.

  perhaps so, but the timeline of the story and age of the individual weren't clear to me as i read it.

  he was sent to 80 countries and learned to speak 6 languages. He worked and had classes with popes Paul VI and John Paulo II and besides that having much contact with Pope Bento XVI.

  He became an unbaptized publisher doing 70 hours a month. Then in July, 2005 Valdir expressed his desire to be baptized

  If they are going to make up a story then they should at least make the timeline more realistic.

  If I remember well, pope Bento XVI (aka Benedict) became pope at the end of April 2005. If Valdir had "much contact" with him then we must conclude that he knew him for let's say a month. Now we're at the end of May 2005. So according to the timeline in the story, Valdir came in contact with the JWs, became an unbaptized publisher doing 70 hours a month and expressed his desire to be baptized in July 2005.. all in a time span of about 45 days?

  Loss of Elders

  large numbers of jw congregations are going to be trouble long before they lose their last elder to death or resignation.. most congregations i know have at least one - and often several - elders who can barely function at all, due to illness, old age.

  or just plain inability to accomplish anything.

  the society seems loathe to remove these men, despite their 'elder in name only'.

  Don't get all anxious about the Bros changing congos.

  It's very common that the Org will "lovingly move" Bros from one location to another even if it id at gret hardship to the Bro.

  Yes, but TWO elders at once? And neithger one of them is conducting a book study at the new cong. And when I asked I just got a short answer, which made me real suspicious. LOL I'm going to get to the bottom of this.

  The KH I went to had 5 elders, all pretty young and very capable. 3 of the 5 elders are related through family ties. Now, recently I found out that TWO of the elders are now going to a different KH. I don't know if they are still elders in that new KH or not, but I do know that neither one of them is conducting a book study. I've been wondering what happened, they had been going to the old KH all of their lives. Why would they and their family move to a different KH all of a sudden, which is not in their territory and much further away to drive? I'm really curious by nature and have been prying, trying to find out if something happened or not. I asked one of them the other day if they are still going to the old KH on occasion to see their old friends and such, and the answer was just a short "no", nothing else.. I'm burning up with curiosity.

  How long is Armaggeddon suppose to last? Is it going to last many years?

  is armaggeddon going to last many, many years or is it going to be quick, fast and over with in a matter of months?

  i know the bible does not say specifically but if you were to guess what would you guess on the amount of time for armaggeddon to last?

  jehovah and jesus have enough power to destroy the world in minutes.

  Yes, I see this the same way. But then, it's not because we don't understand life that it doesn't make sense. Many things we don't understand don't make sense. Perhaps we are not supposed to understand it.

  my mother and her friend were talking at da weekend and they reckon we are not only in the last days but the last hours.

  i know most of you dont believe that anymore, but do some of you still get scared by it.

  Force, I spent half of my life being afraid that the End would be right around the corner. It was a huge waste of energy. If or when the end will come, nobody knows, but worrying about it is not going to change a thing. Once you realize this, you will have much peace of mind.

  Lost is pretty much the only thing I watch on TV, I love the show. Has anyone been to the Fuselage? That's the place to go if you want to ask questions to the actors and such.

  God led me to the JW congregation.

  i rented a house in the late !970's and the contents in the home were given to me.. it happened to be books: ( making my life happy, revelation, children bible stories, listening to the great teacher ) i was enjoying the reading.. -----------------------------------.

  a few years later began to notice awake magazines in doctor offices, and other public places and read them and enjoyed them.. ------------------------------------.

  late 1980's my 7th son was 2 yrs.
