misspeaches, this is so much fun! I was up until 2 in the morning, trying to get out of the room. I found 12 items, opened the box, saw the guy dance and dance, but I couldn't get out of the room. Although I should be working outdoors right now, I am going to try it agin. Thank you for posting this, I love puzzles.

Why can't I find "Captives of a Concept" in Amazon or Abebooks?
by hubert ini just finished reading "crisis of conscience" by ray franz, and decided my next book will be "captives of a concept", by don cameron.
i just read a post with this info on it the other day.. however, when i go to abebooks.com, or amazon.com, and type in the information, it comes up "o" hits.
i tried using the authors name, then tried the title, and got nothing.

Not all books are for sale everywhere. It mainly depends on the publishing company who published the book. Many publishers make the author partially responsible for the promotion and availability of their book, especially when the book targets a specific type of readers. I am an author myself, and it costs me close to $600 JUST to have my book available at Amazon and various other large booksellers.
As Bryan mentioned, the discount for large booksellers like borders, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.. can be a problem for the author, because the royalties an author receives on each book are based on the price AFTER the discount has been subtracted. That is another reason why some authors prefer not to have their book available with the larger booksellers. Discounts for such places are usually between 40% and 50%, which cuts the author's royalties in half.

The next Pope Murdered?
by jula71 innostradamus had 'grim warning' for new pope
the pope elected to succeed john paul ii will be assassinated and his death will spark a muslim invasion of the west that will split the roman catholic church, according to an interpretation of nostradamus's prophecies by a leading colombian author.
"the next pope elected will be subsequently murdered in central italy," said gonzalo echeverri, a colombian investigating judge and author of a book on nostradamus.

The problem with Nostradamus is that 1) he was forced to disguise his predictions inside a bunch of quatrains (had he come straight out and written "hey folks look, this is what I see in the future", he would have been killed back in his time. And 2) he 'saw' things which he could by no means explain properly. He saw things such as planes, TV, bombs, etc.. things that didn't exist in his time, so he had a hard time putting them into words.
I do believe that Nostradamus had the ability to look into the future. However, his predictions are usually not understood until after the facts. Obviously. He did make some predictions about the pope, but there are as many 'explanations' to his pope predictions as there are people who have tried to understand them. I hadn't seen this particular explanation yet. Interesting..
Nostradamus intrigues me.

It depends on what you call 'forever' and it depends on the kind of connection you have. Even with my dial up, the changing from one screen to another doesn't seem to take as long as on other sites.

kls, I think that cruzenheart had the best advice for you.. do NOT watch 'The Birds' by Hitchcock. Other than that, I don't have any advice, but killing one bird and hanging it upside down seems like something that might work. *shudders*

lol, I understand. Don't answer the pm I sent you. It was just to see if you needed help finding a place on line to talk.
