  Any experience with spirits?

  when i was about 19, 3 of my friends and me used a ouija board to contact the spirits, just for a laugh.

  alw, I definitely believe your story. I had a similar experience while I was in college. We used the ouiji board frequently, it was just something fun to do. On one of those occasions, about 6 of us were sitting around the table. We touched the glass for over an hour and nothing happened. Two people got bored and took their finger off the glass, 4 were still trying. All of a sudden, the lights went on and off several times, a 'wind' came through the room and everything started rattling. It seemed right out of a S. King movie. The table was shaking violently and the ouiji board went flying all over the place. It went on for no longer than a minute, but we were all scared to death. We never said a word about this to anyone, and I have not touched a ouiji board since that day.

  question-- if a jw is disfellowshipped for having too much association with a non-witness- is this jw likely to be refused a reinstatement as long as he is associating with her-- and if so- will he be allowed to talk to her again to some degree after he is reinstated?

  It might be that the problem was not just talking to you, but the fact that he was a performer. The JWs don't think much good of people who perform in public, trust me, because I was in that situation for years (being a juggler/magician). They think that the whole world of performers is drenched with drugs and that everyone has sex with everyone. They don't understand why a person would choose to associate with non JWs while they can associate with JWs who will be no threat to their relationship with Jehovah.

  I am sorry that this happened to you, and to your friend. Perhaps now that he is df'd, he will have some extra time to look into the wealth of information there's out there on the JW religion.

  Do You Shine on Your Job?

  have you noticed that some people just have that certain star appeal on the job?

  some folks have an almost celebrity status while others prefer to stay quietly in the background.

  many just are naturally popular where they work.

  I try to stay unnoticed at both of my jobs. I don't like to be the center of attention, I used to be a juggler/magician, and I never liked being on the stage. However, it is tough to stay in the background at the place where I work during weekends, because I'm the only female worker there. I put up with a lot of sh*t from my co workers. I used to work full time there, but it wasn't worth putting up with it all, so I recently asked to be put just on weekends and as a fill in where needed. it is much easier now, with less hours and less stress.

  When I'm in line to pay for my groceries at wally world and I pick up one of the tabloids to kill time. Sometimes I even say it out loud... something like "Who reads this crap?"

  The thought of a gravestone crosses my mind from time to time. I've always wondered what they will do with me when I'm dead. I don't have any family at all around here, and I don't know where my family is anyways. I wonder what they do with people like me.

  If I had a choice, I would like to be buried in my garden, but I guess that's against the law.

  i come from the viewpoint that we are spiritual beings having mortal experiences ergo we are having constant spiritual experience that maybe makes it seem commonplace..i'd be interested if anyone else has noticed spiritual events happening?

  Lourdes.

  If you are not familiar with Lourdes, you can google for either Lourdes, or Bernadette of Lourdes.

  I was 16 and had saved my money from washing dishes at a catering place to go to Lourdes. I wanted to see it for myself. My 7 day stay in Lourdes was probably the most powerful experience in my life. One night, I joined the thousands of people who lit their candle on and around the hills. Everyone prayed in their own language, as their were people from all over the world. The praying, the singing, and the thousands of candles were very beautiful. I am not a crowd person, but you don't think about the crowd when you are surrounded by so many people who have made the pilgrimage to Lourdes, often as their last hope to be cured from some disease or another.

  Once, by a forest ranger. Near Denver, Colorado. We had to pay a $10 fine.
