  What do parasites, deadly pathogens, the violent/callous behaviours of many living things, and all natural evils tell us about the nature of their "creator"?

  Indeed man in his fallen nature , has become the creator of many of the parasites , deadly pathogens that exist in our world , which is without the influence of God in it, due to the choice that our first ancestors made setting our world on a collision course that has destroyed the natural balance of all the various systems that exist in nature so that they are no longer harmonius...resulting in a planet that now experiences decay and death.

  Romans 8:21 "that the creation itself ( A ) will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children. "

  Polemotheos, I enjoyed reading your post...

  I would have to disagree with you that God ,"could not possibly materialize all his being into one body"...

  Jesus said at Matt 19:26 "With God all things are possible"

  The name Yahweh means "He causes to become" as a Witness you would know that the very deffinition of Gods personal name as revealed in the Hebrew texts indictaes that he will become whatever is necessary in order to fulfill his purpose"

  If that meant taking on human form , then that is what he would do, should he choose too.

  Jesus who created all things, according to Colossians 1:17 Holds the entire universe together in his hands , before comming to earth the scriptures tell us that he shared the same glory as his father (John 17:5)...yet miraculously he came to earth as a man 2000 years ago and dwelt among men.(John 1:14)

  Most remarkably of all Colossians 2:9 states "In Him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily"

  The vast majority of animals are not clean, and were represented by only two specimens each. The term ?clean animal? was not defined until the Mosaic Law. But since Moses was also the compiler of Genesis, if we follow the principle that ?Scripture interprets Scripture?, the Mosaic Law definitions can be applied to the Noahic situation. There are actually very few ?clean? land animals listed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14

  Heathen , you are correct about the soliciting of money, that very often takes place when faith and healing are involved..this would be a blatant misuse of the gifts of the spirit...It would be equivalent to a situation that occured in Pauls day, when I think a convert called Simeon (correct me if wrong) tried to pay the Apostles for the gift..and he was condemned in the strongest possible terms...

  Any supposed faith healing where money is involved is not from God...Those that are involved in this sort of thing are among those condemned by Christ as workers of lawlessness...regardless of how successful the healing may be...

  Steaming Angry - Forced to explain Shunning to my 5year old daughter!!!

  i am absolutely hopping mad angry!!!!.

  to those of you who know me, you are aware that i have been fading for over a year now.

  i have a daughter who is 5 and a son who is 2 y. in brief iast year i separated from my husband, left the organisation, met someone else and am now expecting with my new partner.. well i have had the usual ups and downs with my jw family.

  We all know that JW theology teaches members to hate those that abandon the faith, many on this forum if they are honest will have to admit that they also at one time treated others in this way...love is only extended in a very limited way towards "unbelievers" or persons whom are not and never have been JW's.

  Worse still ...when individuals try to work towards re-instatement, they are treated like spiritual lepers and the humiliation they have to endure before being welcomed back into the org is a disgrace...it reflects the attitude of the brother in the parable of the prodigal son and not the compassion of the father who ran out to meet his son , while still along way off...

  Instead of the loving shepherd...warmly and gently embracing the lamb that had strayed...Watchtower shepherds beat the sheep that have strayed instilling fear and dread into their flock...

  Do Jehovah's Witnesses keep records on people?

  i have known some people (i dont' know if it's true or not) [and i am the kind of person that doesn't like to cause trouble] who have said that jehovah's witnesses keep tabs/records on people.

  all the things they have done like if they got babtized, personal problems/experiences, arguments they may had with people, and just their general conduct as well.

  have any people here found out about a "black book" where they keep records on you?

  Hi u/d...your post had me rolling on the floor with laughter.Although serious ...and it sounds like you went through hell with your wife, it was funny cos it made me realise just how mindless the whole WBTS system really is, and how we all bought into that at one time...confessing our sins to dirty and obviously very randy old men who probably did get off on a lot of what they heard.

  When I was in my teens I had a "problem" with masturbation...I eventually confided in an elder...who counselled me told me how wicked it was , but that I would be forgiven if I was repentant. He said a prayer and told me he would check up on me periodically to see how I was progressing..well about 6 months went by, he never made any checks and I continued to have a "problem" , so I went back to him ...well , biggest mistake ...he threatened to call Bethel, tell all the other elders in the congregation ..and said that I could be disfellowshipped if the problem persisted (in hind sight I think he was trying to scare me into giving up this nasty habit) ... I asked him to pray wih me ..his answer was we have already been down this path...you are just going to have to try harder...he was very harsh, unloving and when I got home I was ready to slit my wrists , I felt like the worst sinner in the world...

  I wonder if a file was opened....possibly under the title "wank and file"
