Oh what memories!!!
It appears that the links don't take you to a scanned copy of the outline but someone's preparation of the outline.
The actual outlines look much more skeletal and have time notations.
here's the list of public talks i've gleaned from google.
there are gaps.
can you help me with the blanks, their number and their name?

well i have finally got my 2005 watchtower bound volume (not the awake just yet) and it is very thin flimsy plastic covered paper - really weird after about over 100 years of hardback bound volumes.
talk about saving money - for a reference book i would say this is a step too far -what next - the insight books in paperback?
Now the dubs will have to buy the official WTS bookends. The old bound volumes used to stand by themselves on the shelf. Now they sag over and lean.

xjwms, it's not guilt or anything that keeps me from attending. It's being disfellowshipped. I've really been giving this some thought lately.
I faded so I could maintain family relationships and keep the peace. In the jw circles I've run in someone who DAs themselves is seen as having a chip on their shoulder (not necessarily true). They view DAs as angry statement making people. I didn't want my wife or immediate family to view me that way and treat me accordingly. So I faded. Going well by the way. :)
I maintain a spirituality. I read the WTS bible reading each week with my spouse and discuss other biblical topics from time to time. I pray regularly with the family and appear pretty much the same as I did before, except I don't go to meetings.
I long for spiritual association. I want to discuss deep bible topics that I don't understand or that I think I do yet really don't. I would love to attend a non-denominational bible study group and share.
But, the minute I do my fade is over and I will be disfellowshipped.
I've worked years (and I literally mean years) to fade away without causing permanent problems in my marriage and family. But, with fading you are never really free. If I'm away 1 year or 10 or 20 or 30 years will I then be able to attend the church or group of my choice? Technically, yes. At some point they should no longer consider me a witness. However, because my family are all witnesses I will probably never achieve that glorious oft hoped for status. No, I will be watched for the rest of my life and eventually a final decision will need to be made.
I say now that I WILL BE COMPLETELY FREE ONE DAY!
For now I've decided to continue the fade. Eventually when the time is right I will tell my spouse that I do long for other christian association and plan to attend .....(whatever it happens to be). I will work on her to ensure that it doesn't set off any alarms and perhaps we can keep it between us. Otherwise I'll do it anyway and the congregation can punish me however they see fit. I do not fear being disfellowshipped. I only want to maintain the relationship I've built up with immediate and extended family.
Sounds great man.
Good luck on future hookey.

I can't wait for the time when I can attend another church if I choose. I look forward to enjoying myself with others and not having to put up with the pressure and guilt.

The insight books are out of date.
With the cd rom coming out every year now I don't see the need for a encyclopedia like the insight books.
If the friends have a question about any subject they just type it into the search function of the cdrom and look at the most currend article, regardless of which publication it is from, and follow its advice. In the old days they would get out the insight books and follow whatever they said.
Actually, the cd rom may make it easier for the society to change their light regularly because the friends don't research too much past the most current understanding on any particular subject. If the most current light is in a 2004 WT that is as far as most dubs are going to check. The light could have changed once a year from 2000-2004 but most dubs wouldn't even know it.

"I have to go" or "I want to go" ?

Kind of like work. Do you tell your children that it's time for you to leave for work or do you say 'I have to go now?'
Just an interesting way to determine whether our dub friends/relatives are looking forward to meetings/service or are going through the necessary motions without zeal.
okay, folks...we are down to 11. a vote of 2/3 requires 8 votes.. theodore jaracz.
carey w. barber.
john barr.
Right on metatron. (heheh - that rhymes)
Also, someone said "the stronger the hand grips the sand, the faster it slips away." I believe this is true and applies to the witnesses.
if as many here suggest tj is the boss and with schroeder's death has the capability of getting a 2/3 vote on key issues that come before the gb then....... what issues is he likely to press?.
perhaps someone here who is friends with ray franz could find out what issues or changes tj was particularly interested in that haven't occurred.. for example, was tj in favor of adding or taking away one meeting a week?
is he happy with the current theocratic ministry school arrangement?
I think the two new members, whose names escape me, will tip the balance in TJ's favor. 2/3s is a high majority to achieve.
Reading AuldSoul's topic earlier though made me realize that TJ can in fact reach 2/3s.
This may mean that the rest of the organization will become as strict as the service department. For several years now I've been hearing about a rift and power struggle between the service department and the writing department.
The writing department says something is ok or not ok and the service department writes a letter to the COs or elders clarifying the position.
The service department may rule supreme. If so, I wonder what changes are likely?

For example, was TJ in favor of adding or taking away one meeting a week? Is he happy with the current Theocratic Ministry School arrangement? etc.
Ray Franz mentions TJ in his books several times. It's apparent that he is a hardliner. Perhaps there are changes mentioned in Ray's books that TJ hadn't been able to implement yet. A detailed review of Ray's books may produce some of the future changes to the WTS.
Just a thought.
