RC Was Worse Than I thought...
by JW_Rogue ini was visiting with my family and it seems the rc was worse than i thought.
now they all seem to think that "we are so close to the end" and that the "brothers are really preparing us for the gt".
some even saying that soon our message will change to a judgement message for mankind and talking about how we need to improve "everything we do".

I can't believe the authorities didn't wait for the secret knock response before coming in.
Seriously, that video is going to scare the bejeebus out of a lot of dubs. I know a lot of dubs that believe the the GB know more than they share and that the GB only give out information as it is needed. That kind of dub will see these videos as 'food at the proper time' and who knows how that will affect them.
This just feeds their fear and makes life even more difficult for those of us who have left.

Oh and one more thing I was thinking. The main elder, forgot his name, just comes off as creepy, like a bad guy on a tv show about a cult. Same thing with the guy who comes in with his wife to give a report. They both look like 1950s Mr Rogers cult leader types to me. Of course that only my humble opinion.

I just watched the whole 27 minutes. Wow, my mind is spinning with how manipulative the videos are and how they appear to emotion.
I think they'll really get some of the more nuttier dubs really worked up with this kind of talk and even the regular dubs will be looking for the end to come pretty quick. Once it doesn't come they'll slowly sink back into their regular apathy.
I expect a whole new generation of dubs to hide literature in their walls, basements and attics in anticipation of the end.

I agree with Sir82. We would tell someone who turned up for the meeting for field service dressed inappropriately to go and change or stay home that day. But, since the preaching work is a directive from J the elders didn't have the right to stop someone from participating in general due to overall dress/grooming. Even if someone was on reproof. It was even talked about that disfellowshipped persons preach and it would be up to J if he accepted their service or not; but of course the DF would not be allowed to join the witness group.
Of course, it's all crap and control mechanisms.

Please remember I don't agree that homosexuality is a sin and I have taught my kids to respect most people's lifestyles, but in doing so I taught them that other people do view homosexuality as a sin.
FMF, my wife is a dub. She finds homosexuality disgusting. I've had to work hard to counter her influence with our kids. I do not take this subject lightly; not that I was accused of that.
Holding outdated moronic non-biblical or biblical teachings as truth and raising your children to believe them may indeed be moronic but I don't feel it's discrimination.
Isn't defending speech we don't agree with as important as defending speech we do agree with? Isn't the defending of speech/ideas/actions (that are lawful) that we don't agree with the real test of freedom and liberty?
Anyway, those videos suck. My kids watched one or two at my inlaws house and they laughed pretty hard at the cultiness of it all. I caught hell for that,since everything bad is my fault.
