  Demonic Influence While Intoxicated

  scripture consistently warns against intoxication, highlighting how substance abuse weakens judgment and opens individuals to spiritual deception.

  while various herbs were used in biblical worship, they were only burned as incense, never smoked or ingested.

  additionally, there is no historical record of marijuana being used in ceremonial worship, either in the bible or among ancient civilizations.. warnings against intoxication and loss of judgment.

  I see your point here but I don't see any direct correlation with the scriptures you quoted, and some you didn't with intoxication creating an opening for demonic spirits. You quoted Mark 9:17-18, Luke 9:42, and 1 Peter 5:8 but I personally don't see them saying over indulgence in alcohol opens up someone to the demons. Yes, I see the word sober, but I researched the Greek and from my limited understanding and trusting the translation material online I don't see that sober in this context is talking about the effects of alcohol.

  My goodness! Fourteen years since I began posting here...

  i'm not sure if anyone remembers me since i do not post here much anymore.

  i sometimes pop in around christmas time to see if anyone is interested in exchanging christmas cards like we used to back when i first posted on this site.

  speaking of which, the holiday season will soon be upon us.. if you recall, i was married to a jehovah's witness and i had a daughter i spoke of a lot.

  Perhaps a faction of the GB wanted him removed for years but didn't have the votes until the two new members were added. In fact maybe the two new GB guys were chosen by the anti Morris GB members to tip the scales in their direction.

  My wife only made about half the meetings in the pre covid days. During zoom she made pretty much every meeting. I wonder how going back will affect her attendance.

  now, we get to try to cancel the citizens of an entire country for something their government chose to do.. really, we can't allow russian individuals to compete in sports?

  I agree about generations differing from their parents, but in general, over a long span of time it appears the trend line is more liberal not less.

  But none of it matters because the wife has been ordered back to the hall!

  I think change is like a tidal wave. You can see it, feel it and complain about it, but it's still coming and it will be transforming.

  Each new generation seems more liberal and I guess the word is woke than the next.
