by Chia ini can't even say anything.

kansas city police: 'precious doe' is ericatipster gives name of girl found decapitated in 2001; mother arrested.

in about fifty-two minutes time...
by zaphod in...my gran, who has been a jw since the 1950's will be reproved publicly for speaking to her grand-daughter who is disfellowshipped.
she is 77 years old and i am worried that it will be the death of her.
the"truth" has been her life for nearly fifty years and she is still a regular publisher.. if she continues to commit this gross sin she will be disfellowshipped.. her daughter and son in law are to be disfellowshipped for the terrible sin of allowing their daughter to live under their roof since she left her husband.

I was under the immpression that it was a conscience matter whether or not to talk to/let df'd children live with their jw parents...wtf, has this changed or do I have it wrong? Well in any case, just another example of wts nonsensicall, rediculous, bullsh*t that we have all come to know...they should be ashamed!

Yeah, from what I can remember grandpa K. was great, I wish I was able to get to know him better, but I was so young and lived so far away when he passed. The memories I do have though are fond ones.

Would you give your life to get your family out of the Watchtower?
by zugzwang ini asked this question as part of another thread but i thought i would ask it in a new thread.
if there were some way to assure that your death would result in your family and friends learning the truth about the wts would you be willing to die to 'save' them?

"so what you are saying is that you wouldn't be willing to die so that others might live? that's the basic concept of christianity. (not that i am saying christianity is the proper course) i guess the concept of dying that others might live is foreign to you. many people die everyday for strangers (soldiers, policemen, firefighters etc. etc.) it doesn't surprise me at all that some people would sacrifice themselves, even if it is only to improve the lives of others a little bit."
zugzFirst of all, what the hell are you talking about, first you ask if I would give my life to get my family out of the watchtower then I say no and then you make an off the wall comment that the concept of dying so that others may live is foreign to me, which is a totally different, non-related issue, if that were the ? asked then my answer would be yes but that wasnt the ? asked...is there something Im missing here cuz your statements just arent making sense to me?...Whateva!

So let me get this straight, and Im not trying to start anything here, but, some of you value your life so little that you would give it up not even so that someone else may live, but so that someone could live differently?
Yes, I agree the wts has hurt many, many people, but to give your LIFE, your very existence for a dumb ass religion, wouldnt that be like letting them win even more and giving them WAY more power than they deserve...come on, giving your life for that, what a bunch of cack!

Got out while I was still young enough to have a life, df'd at 17. Only thing that sucked is that my parents had been SOOOO strict that when I got a little taste of freedom I went buck wild and got involved in a lot of risky behavior, thats why I believe it is a mistake to shelter your children too much. I allway s liked the analogy of a spring, if you hold on to it real tight, when you let it go it flies everywhere but if you give it a little more room in your hand and realease it gradually it stays close to your hand. So if you give you kids a little freedom instead of being so strict I think they wont go crazy once their on their own.
