just so i don't miss anybody who is interested.... my results from the ekg and the echogram showed a severe leak in a heart valve.
i am going for an angiogram on the 15th but the cardiologist says the liklihood is great that i will need open heart surgery.
rare for a 30 year old but if necessary, it is necessary.. no word yet on the results of the blood work for liver enzymes and hepatitis.
Cygnus........Best of Luck to you. Don't know you personally but enjoy your posts. Please let us know how everything goes. Your way to young for this kinda stuff...but look at it this way, they take care of it now and your future's gonna be even brighter. Buy some new shades. I just got diagnosed with pericarditis and go in for an angio next week to see if there's anything else going on. Look forward to more posts from you.

i always find it so annoying whenever there's a wt study on the good samaritan.
no one at the hall ever suggests that the idea behind it, is that we should be helping our "enemies" in a charitable way, such as feeding them, clothing them, helping them out in a physcial way.....nope they always turn it around to where it only means we should be preaching to our enemies, cause lord only knows, actually helping someone out in a charitable way means less than nothing in the organization.. anyhoo, the last time we had an article on that (couple of years ago), i specifically put up my hand and said "this is not talking about preaching to our enemies.
the samaritan did not preach to the jew nor vise versa.

I used to ask the holy elders all the time about the very same thing...and I usually got some lame answer like..."their'll never be an end to the suffering until the Kingdom and we are giving them something better than food...the Truth." Yeah, tell the Truth to some poor kid with a bloated stomach, covered with flys who's lost all his family in a famine. The F*****G morons are cruel and too stupid to realize it because they swallow everything that comes down from Mother. I remember one time at an assembly where they were bragging about some country that was hit by a devastating earthquake and how they sent in loaded Watchtower trucks with food and clothing for the "brothers and sisters"...then added that there was even enough for the other people. I conjured up this image of third-world folks walking around in a daze wearing bad-fitting plaid sport coats and eating old pudding cups. I have a plan that I cannot devulge here that would entrap them in their own selfishness and really show the world how they are...a perfect TV event. I'm working on it.

four women have contacted police after being persuaded to stand topless in their windows or balconies so that a satellite could give them a mammogram.. the women, aged between 19 and 45, living in the algarve, southern portugal, were all contacted by telephone by a woman claiming to be a doctor.. she told them that a revolutionary method had been developed of conducting breast examinations by satellite.. they were told that the consultation would be free if they followed instructions by stripping to the waist and standing in view of the satellite.. one woman was so trusting that she took off all her clothes for the "examination".. later, the women were telephoned with the alleged results of the examinations.
Maybe my idea of door-to-door breast examinations (performed by me of course) will be successful afterall.

i know this is probably old news to most, but the site http://exjw.meetup.com/ has regular meetups for ex jw's.
problem is i am the only one in the area that i am in... i think that all should check out this site, and recommend all to join, maybe i can actually find old friends in my area if the word spreads fast enough.... i would hate to be the only exjw there at the meetup eating and talking to my self :( i am sorry if this is old news to all, but i really would like the fellowship and support of all the ex witnesses in my area... thanks

everyone remember a few years ago with the gb decided that the rank and file witness just wasn't bugging the hell out of enough people because no one was ever home saturday morning?
they came up with the brainstorming idea to approach people in parking lots!!!
(ya, that goes over reeeeeeeal well)......as if going to the person's home to tell them about their imminent death wasn't bad enough, now ya gotta tell them when they're out shopping!

i just read with interest an article entitled yoga - just an exercise or something more?
in the august 1, 2002 watchtower.. i know that growing up a witness i had always been told that yoga was related to spiritism and the occult.
however, with the popularity of yoga among the mainstream in recent years as a means to keep fit not as a means to find spiritual enlightment, i thought the society may have lightened up a bit.
SpiceItUp....You would probably want a large edition of the NWT, hard-cover of course, with a complete index...but of course you should consult with some of the older elders as they have more experience in these matters. And do not leave out any details when discussing your problem. I'll pray for your speedy recovery. And if you need a friend to help you, I'm always available. I promise not to count the time.
