  the simpsons is one of the few shows i can watch over and over never get bored with.

  a couple of my favorite quotes.

  tony the mafia guy talking to marge: you betta have our money in 24 hours and just to show you we're serious you now have 12. .

  So it's true....Watching the Simpsons does cause Apostacy!!

  My favorite episode is the one where marge and Bart make friends with the gay guy who owns a collectible store. Homer worries Bart is becoming gay so he takes to a busy freeway, sits Bart in the middle with traffic whizzing by on both sides and tells him to stare at the cigarette billboard that feature some beautiful women on it. Homer comes back several hours later and says to Bart..."So how do you feel..not gay right?" Bart responds, "i'm not sure but I could sure go for a cigarette." Homer: "DOHH !" Homer and Moe later take him hunting and then to a gay steel mill where they all the buffed out workers sing "YMCA". There are really too many episodes to list. I get two re-runs each evening and of course a new episode on Sundays most times. I love 'em. What's really funny is, I used to forbid my children to watch them and one day they coerced me into seeing an episode and I came to realize it is the best satire on TV.

  if i as a parent were to keep a pit bull or poisonous snake in my house, and it killed one of my children, what would the civil authorities do?

  what would the media pundits and experts say about my parenting skills?

  how would child services act had they known about the situation in advance?

  nancee park.........If God were really loving, why wouldn't he just initiate punishment on his bad child(Satan) immediately (the way we are trained to punish our children) instead of making countless generations suffer. Oh that's right he wanted to prove a point to some of his hevenly poker buddies.

  Hi Carepet,

  I remember a visiting CO explaining to us how great our religion was over Christendoms because we could explain things logically...such as why a loving God would not torture his created Humans in a Hellfire for eternity...and we could certainly explain away 3-headed Gods in a logical manner. However, it seems when Witts get backed into a corner they too fall back onto the same old platitudes like..."God's knowledge is unsearchable." Oh how I used to toy with the Hellfire folks asking them, "Is God Love?" and of course when they would jump in with a resounding, "YES", I would cut 'em down with, "...but he's gonna torture Humans who mess up with torture worse than Hitler." You know what?...they would almost always wind up responding with something like, "God's knowledge is unsearchable."

  Amazing...Very interesting points. Also we have the added threat of an invisible spirit creature(s), millions of times smarter/stronger than us who is/are allowed to pursue us on a daily basis so our Father can prove a point to some of his former associates. Is this not the same as if we as parents put our children in harms way on a regular basis, just hoping that they will get everything correct and avoid the pitfalls that would surely kill them, but not intervening until some unspecified time way in the future. Oh, wait a minute...we can give them an instruction book that no one can seem to figure out. Let's put the baby outside to grow up with wolves while I stay in and watch Jerry Springer. I don't get it...never did. I guess that's why after 50 years of indoctrination and they could not answer simple logical questions, I decided to quit being led by the nose.

  Englishman..........Happy Birfday! It just goes to prove that boxing is the best exercise. Hope yer Lovely Other gets you an Aston-Martin....no Jags, they're just glorified Fords anymore. I do like the new Minis...of course I like the old ones too. A friend of mine has a rare Mini panel wagon for sale (1967 I think) in beautiful shape, has won many awards.
