  WARNING! The Elders are coming.....!

  hi gang.

  if you live in england, be exspecting a call this month from the elders of your local kingdom hall if you have been dissfellowshiped,dissociated yourself or had any contact with the congregation in the past.....no it`s not coz they want their mouldy old books back; it`s some special effot ordered from bethel to get you back.....( obviously because their numbers have crashed since that panarama program last year,`suffer little chidren).

  i was out shopping, when an elder from my local kingdom hall rugby tackled me.the sod had me cornered in a shop doorway for ten minutes...he told me that this special effort is for febuary only, and because he said it`s come down from bethel, i assume it`s only england.

  well here's something of interest; a professor claims that they are in the midst of inventing an 'invisibility cloak', much like the one in the harry potter movies............now assuming that this is true, what would you use this device for???

  (as for me, i'd go out to area 51 just to see what the hell is going on out there).......... .

  Hubby passed away this morning...

  i want to thank all those that helped and encouraged me in my hard times!..hubby passed away from his cancer this morning.

  i am so sad my heart is broken.

  we decided to go ahead and have a memorial for him this weekend at the kingdom hall he went to.

  Have You Been Divorced?

  divorce is much more common in the jehovah's witness community than they would like to admit.

  probably more so than the population in general.. if you have been divorced do you think that the watchtower society contributed to the divorce, or caused it, or is it just possible you married some jerk or abuser and divorce would have occured no matter what religion you were, or even if you had no religion?.

  possibly you got married way too young as the end was coming and there is no marriage in the resurrection if you died.

  20+ years down the tubes...thanks to the local yokels and the Boyz in Brooklyn. Mine was a strange case inasmuch as they took the wifes side (they don't usually do that)...but in my case they figured she was the spiritually strong one and her name was on the checks that went into the boxes at the back of the hall. They ok'ed her kicking me out of my house and a separation even though I did not do anything that violated the 3 things that made it okay for a separation (according to the Family Happiness book)...those three things being...laziness/non-support(I made 100k+)...physical abuse(zero)...& spiritual endangerment(I attended 90% of the meetings & supported my pioneer daughter). However I was not progressing at the rate they and her wanted me to..i.e. very little field service...and the big one...even though I was born into the "truth", I "never made it my own"...never got dunked. But for an undunked one I was, at least for awhile, respected because of my $$$ and I was prominent on television...had the "privledge" of being asked to video-tape all the special talks, memorial, etc. So, while they used me and tolerated me for a long time, I think it just got to be too much for them...the fact that I never would sign on the dotted line, continuing to study with elders and asking them questions they could not answer to my satisfaction. Wanna hear the kicker? My ex would have never been a Dubbie if it hadn't been for me and my parents talking to her. Ironic.

  I think they should use it. It fits well, since they are the Mother of Lying. Mother of Hypocrites. Mother of Two-Faced, Self-Righteous, Pompous Asses. Mother of Rediculous Non-Biblical Rules & Regulations. Mother of Hurtfulness. Yeah, they're just a real Mutha.

  Elder Rumor How Widesprd: IraqWar=WWIII=Armageddon

  an inactive friend just spoke to some elders who, not from the platform but one-on-one, said they believe the coming war with iraq will cause world war iii and armageddon.

  has anyone else heard this?

  it may be that some are using this as a tactic to scare inactives back into the watchtower society along with their needed donations, especially since the pedophile and wts-u.n. scandals.

  As has already been pointed out...We've all heard the "unofficial" but widely spread rumors before. Yes, every war or conflict that's come along ..."is going to lead to Armegeddon." When I was a kid, many moons ago, I remember being scared s***less during the Cuban Missle Crisis. I think that was about the time we were studying the "Your Will Be Done" book (ugly green one) that had the Soviet Union as the King of the North going after all the oil fields. Then the 7-Day War...another terrifying time as a kid in school, waiting for it all to blow up into God's Holocaust...and so on and on and on.... Remember too, they cover their asses because if something goes the other way, they scream "Peace & Security"...such as the Soviet Union crumbling. That was supposed to lead to Armegeddon or the Trib' or something. Also, the Year of Peace declared by the United Nations...Oh my Gawd, something had to happen that year.... FIZZLE.

  As a kid how did you survive the meetings?

  recently my brother, sister, and i talked for the first time about how we survived the meetings when we were kids.

  i loved hearing their stories.. i had a whole imaginary world i went into.

  once the songs were over and the talk started, i would focus on the speaker to look like i was listening and then zone out.

  I was one of the kids who wasn't allowed to sleep so I had to act interested while zoning out, sorta like when Homer Simpson zones out when Marge or Mr. Burns are talking to him. Other semi-interesting moments included flys. Sometimes our congregation had inordinate numbers of them so it was fun to watch them land on people and how they reacted. Some were mad swatters, others seemed oblivious and allowed the flys to crawl all over them. I also greatly enjoyed watching the "appointed reader" on stage on those hot summer months. It rarely failed but sometime during the Watchtower study the reader would start nodding off. Of course the more spiritual ones had the furrowed brows, looking concerned...while the rest of us were hoping Brother Dozer would fall off his chair. Then there were the times a couple of my friends and I would bring several of those little fuzzy caterpillars to a meeting...great fun. In some ways we were like Tom Sawyer when he was being beaten by Aunt Polly to learn his scriptures and attend Sunday services...but alas ol' Tom only had to endure it once a week.

  it seems clear that the gb are hurting.

  recent media attacks over pedophilia, combined with revelations of hypocrisy over the un and even personal accusations against members of the gb themselves has meant that those at the top of the ivory tower are feeling more vulnerable than ever before.

  the law is increasingly being used to bring these monsters to book.. .
