Today I found 10 old mags left in the lobby of the medical office I work at. Isn't that overkill? who leaves 10 at a time? In order not to "ruin the earth" I promptly put them in the shredder.

KU med center is a very good hospital. They saved my husbands life last month, by removing an apple sized tumor from his brain. I told them if blood was needed go for it, just bring my husband out alive.
I have never heard of any state paying for surgery in another state.

In the upper left corner are the "evil" ones one man smoking, I think the other was drinking and then a pic of a dead seagull. in the lower right corner were "good" people enjoying the paradise earth... to my shock and awe the mom and daughter of this good family hiking up the hill weren't wearing dresses or skirts.... they were wearing ( gasp) Pants.... i thought Jah didn't like women in pants. lol
I showed it to a Catholic co-worker just to see what normal people think of this s%^& she focused on the sentence " see how you can QUALIFY to live on this paradise." She said how does one qualify.. I said I don't know maybe it's based on your credit score like a home loan.

I saw this article on our local news website today. This woman is a JW and she needs a new liver, hers has cirrhosis. She has medicaid. In Kansas no doctor is willing to perform an organ transplant w/o blood. She went to court to get the state of KS to pay for her surgery in NE where doctor's are willing to do a transplant w/o blood.
I bet this makes them feel even more special.

Kansas health officials say the state will drop its objections to allowing a woman to have a bloodless liver transplant in Nebraska.
Mary Stinemetz of Hill City is seeking the transplant because she says her Jehovah's Witness religion forbids blood transfusions.
Medicaid will pay the costs of the operation. Andrew Allison, executive director of The Kansas Health Policy Authority, said Wednesday that it authority will not appeal a court ruling ordering it to grant Stinemetz's request to have the transplant in Nebraska.
The authority had objected to having the Kansas Medicaid fund pay for a procedure performed in Nebraska.
The Kansas City Star reports that Stinemetz suffers from primary biliary cirrhosis, which causes the liver to deteriorate.
No hospitals in Kansas perform bloodless transplants

What Did You Not Do Because You Were A Jehovah's Witness That You Wanted To Do?
by minimus ini didn't go to college and of course, "higher education" was never recommended.
still, i never felt terribly deprived because of not going further in my education.. yet, i did wish that i could've had "normal" aka "worldly friends".
i wish that as witnesses, we could've been better integrated with other people.

I work in a mental health clinic. I make sure none of their rag mags make to my patients, by clearing the mags out of the lobby when needed.
