Sunspot,
I do know Bob and Bess Thomas. Their daughter's name is Narissa. We were in the same congregation for several years. Bob Thomas was my book study conductor at one time.
I was born in Syracuse. I lived there for a couple of years when I went to college. I used to attend assemblies in W. Henrietta.

by Serena inthis is the strangest thing that i have ever seen, and i have to ask cuz it's just sooooooo wacky, i'm just wondering what the hell it means: the jw guy that i have been seeing, well, he sometimes would wear two pairs of underwear?????
is this usual to witnesses, or is he just trying to protect his goodies?
or is he just a freak?????

Do Majority of exJWs remain Christians?
by Ray Skyhorse indo the majority of exjws retain a christian faith after leaving the borg?
does the majority of exjws continue studying the bible on their own or join a new christian group that's less rigid than the jws?
or does the majority say to hell with christianity?.

I'm not sure about the majority of exJWs. But I consider myself still Christian. I was raised Catholic, became a JW at 16 (against my family's wishes). I do not belong to any church. I believe that we all have an individual responsibility to God. I don't believe that membership in any organization will bring me God's approval. I did have a hard time figuring out what I believe when I first left the borg (I was disfellowshipped 4 years ago). The WTS did a great job of convincing me that there was no life outside the organization. I did not pray for 4 years because I still believed that JWs had "the truth"
and because I was no longer a member, God would not listen to my prayers. I came on this site in April. I was looking for motivation to get reinstated as a JW. Thank goodness I didn't find what I was looking for! After reading many posts I realized that JWs may very well be a cult, and that I do not need them for salvation. As I said, I do still have Christian beliefs. But I don't anticipate ever joining another religion.

Please Respond To Survey! 25 more needed please.
by Big Jim init seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?
for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .
thanks.

As a child I lived with my aunt. She was very Catholic, but she was interested in the Bible. When I was 11, she broke her leg and was out of work for 6 months. She agreed to a home Bible study (she had bween informally witnessed to at her place of employment). Every week she told me what she learned, and I believed that it was the truth. She had no intention of leaving th Catholic church. When she went back to work she stopped her study. I wanted to study, but she would not allow that because she was afraid that I would leave the Church. When I started high school, she agreed to let me have a Bible study. The rest is history. I left the Church, got baptized, postponed college to pioneer. My aunt eventually resumed studying and was baptized 3 years after I was. She, unfortunately, is still a JW.
