My daughter would have been DEAD 61/2 years by now...if her husband hadn't done the RIGHT THING! He approved a blood transfusion just in time! She gave birth to my grandson by C-section and was released from the hospital 3 days later only to hemorrhage a few hours later at home. I watched the life drain from her. Her lips were white! The HLC said " her husband better do the right thing", which was...let her die! Well she lived! After 4 bags of red, 2 bags of white and a bag of plasma. Still her blood count after all that was only 23.

i used to say "you wait till you get them" , without being nasty.. i seriously hope she suffers.

I had endometrial ablation and all my troubles were a thousand times worse! Do you have fibroids? I used a product called Fibrovan, it cut my pain from 3days in a row with hotpacks on my belly to 2 hrs of pain treatable with ibuprofen. Message me with any questions.

I raised my three children doing the same thing every Saturday. Of my three, two are out! My daughter no doubt thinks she is doing the right thing. She is liberal in so many areas. Even to the point of not shunning me, her apostate mother, or her siblings. Still...I cringe when I see this little boy slaving for the Org.

Have you ever scared the crap out of someone?
by Nathan Natas inthe recent thread about "supernatural" experiences helped me to remember the times i enjoyed playing frightening pranks on people.. example #1: years ago the employees at a place i worked for had a 40th birthday party for one of the women we worked with.
it was a typical "somber and dark" humorous party with black balloons, black candles on the birthday cake... all meant to suggest that at 40 ife as you know it is just about over.
it's funny, but 25 years after my 40th birthday i'm yearning for those days when things were better.. ...but i digress.

My dad used to come home after a long day of work and put his feet upon the ottoman and go into a deep sleep. My husband and I were visiting and I thought it would be funny to yell "fire"! But I asked my husband to do it. At first he shook his head no, but I insisted. I hadn't taken into consideration that he had been a drama student in high school. He yelled fire so convincingly, that I thought there was a fire! Well my dad did too! He jumped up, kicking the ottoman across the room! GOD DAMN IT, he said! And left the room to cool off! UGH! I laughed and then cringed for days. So worried that he would experience a heart attack sometime within the week. He was very frightened. In that moment I understood why its against the law to yell FIRE in a crowd! Peg

There's a little Houdini in all of us
by freeflyingfaerie inas i responded to an earlier post it occured to me that those of us who have been in the religion for any length of time are like harry houdini, the illusionist.. we willingly (for those that chose to really believe the lies) bound ourselves in chains.. we always had the opportunity to releaase ourselves...it was all an illusion...an illusion that we played along with.
but the option to end the mental confinement was always within our power.. going door to door we must have looked like a freak show to others.
we put ourselves in a glass cage in chains, as a "spectacle",...in which we were unwittingly frauds, because the whole time we could have gotton free.. that's all for now... .

I still drive in neighborhoods and have flash backs of knocking on those doors. I sometimes even remember the person that answered the door. I can take you to the doors of those I studied with, thankfully none of which became JWs. Of my three children, one is still fully in. I am thankful that she does not shun me. None of these memories will ever go away, they are my history. Only this community, JWN can understand it. Breaking the chains was the BEST accomplishment of my LIFE! Peg
