i finally told my brother about my feelings toward the wt (he was never baptized) and i'm still waiting for him to respond through email.
how do you mentally prepare for it?
Try the fade if you don't feel the need to officially seperate. Even if you are discovered later on and dis-associated it's not a big deal because you carry no real ties with them. Fading may give you time to recover and start a new life free of their control.

someone just recently posted the name of a book, i believe it was called 'a demon haunted world" .
i went to amazon, and the author they have is carl sagon.. is the correct book?
or is there a lesser known writer who wrote another book?

i was hopeful that i'd find the statistics on the 2004 wt-cd but there is none.
the 4-page section is simply missing there.. would you point me to somewhere i can find the numbers for the 2003 service year (published in the wt jan/1/04) ?.
scans would be great... the site www.jwic.com doesn't do 'cause doesn't have the numbers(i'd be interested in the growth column).. thanks.
I think you have to host the document or image at a website and then provide the link to it. Someone has to host it on their site. I havent set up a site to host it so I can't help you but some on here may be happy to do that for you.

What is the book about? Is it a documentation on how people attribute things as demonic when they can really be scientifically explained? Just a guess. That could be an interesting read.

a month ago my mother died.
she had been a witness for 40 years.
when she was sick she got me wondering if all the witnesses think that this system will come to an end in there lifetime and they won't have to go thru death?

Yes I remember too how the feeling used to be in the congregations. Everyones kids were not even going to finish school before armagedon came. No one was going to get old and die before it came. It must be a shocking realization for some when they are faced with their own mortality. It must be difficult for them as they had their hopes raised so much due to continuously being told they would not die as armagedon was so close.

the talk given today sounded pretty convincing.
facts were stated about how our body is designed to live forever (the brain, blood vessels etc) and how all these intricated details about the human body raises us to ask the question: "did not jehovah design us with the purpose of living forever?
now i've read the threads about how there just would not be enough room in the world for all those people.
This is a hard question. Honestly I think thoese of the first century should have been fully aware of their eventual death. Aparently though many believed the end would come within their lifetime, which it never did. Now whether they had any view of a future earthly paradise, its difficult to say. The idea is their if you look for it but then so is their acknowledgement that their course would be heavenly. I think it is one of thoese issues that are open for interpretation and can be viewed from different angles. I feel their would have to be a purpose for the earth in lines with the thought of creation.
