by Dustin inwere any of you the really obnoxiosly loud singer at the meeting?
that always used to make me laugh when somone who couldn't sing just belted it out in their horrible voice.
or i used to love the husband and wife duos that thought they were all that as they sat and tried to harmonize.

Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.
by PaNiCAtTaCk inupon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.
they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.
i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

After I had initially left the lie,I went to an asseblie.The district overseer gave a talk,at one point in his sermon,He said"people with hiv/aids live a lifestyle against god,they willfully sin,and reap the results".I remember how pissed I was at this attitude.People are born with aids,people make mistakes,people could have unknowingly contracted aids through other contact.I told my mom how angry that statement made me,of course she said"they are just imperfect men".Maybe if she listened to that advice before ruining my youth,I wouldn't be talking about this crap right now.
I wanted to find the district overseer and tell him how warped he was,but my family protested strongly,saying jehovah would handle it.That assemblie proved 2 things,1-my family is brainwashed 2-thisw organization is not run by god,but by judgemental assholes who think thier better than everyone.{not that I needed much convincing,but it didn't hurt}.

as an american,this country thrives on fear,fear of health problems ,fear of terrorism,fear of lost income,fear of not meeting the status quo,fear of your nieghbors,fear of different cultures,fear of not living up to others standards,fear of not looking right physically.
Fear is something you can't escape,you are bombarded with things to be afraid of,the root cause of this is money.
Is this the same around the world?

Which would you choose: Being born or the WTS never having existed?
by Elsewhere inthose of us who are multi-generation "born into the wts" people, exist only because the wts exists.
my grand parents were all jws, both of my parents were born and raised in the religion and i was born and raised in the religion.
the simple fact of the matter is that if it was not for the wts existing neither of my parents would exist and therefore neither would i. sure brings and interesting new twist on the time travel "go back in time and kill your father before you were conceived" paradox.

The fact is ,for some people,the present is created partly by the past,so yes,we do live in the present,but every action has a reaction.I was allowed to drop out of high school due to the fact education was considered a worldly pursuit.I have nagging health problems from being forced to play sports that were unsupervised,without proper equipment or coaching.I have a divided family which creates stress in my life.
EVERYTHING in my life from the age of 1-17 was geared toward the religion.How can you just forget that,how can you just pickup your bootstraps and move forward totally.If some have ,that's great,but again,for some it was worse than others.I could careless about the borg now,it doesn't run my life,but it did at one time,and the effects are still there.
