  What Homepage do you have ?

  ok so you know when you click to open internet explorer and up pops the homepage of your service or whatever you wish to have there.

  i am on ntlworld at the moment but ntl are not very good so just use their cable modem, i decided to use tiscali which was really good but now all of a sudden they have started having pop up adds which is really irritating so i am now shopping for another one.

  any suggestions ?

  THE GENERATION OF 1914

  it makes you wonder when exactly the governing body and their lawyers decided to change the "generation of 1914" doctrine.

  the first quotation below is from the 1992 wt and the second one from the 1993 brochure the purpose of life, just two lousy years before they imfamously dropped the whole idea:

  I believe that many families and younger generations are involved with the organization out of convienience.The organization gives them the sense of being different,with all the perks of a social club.Thats why these huge screw ups don't effect therm.they like what they have.What would they do without it.Many young ones{30 and younger}who were raised jdubs cant explain jack about these prophesies,its just a routine they have gotten used to.As long as they go out to TGIFridays after the meeting,thats all they care about.If the dont swear and sin in the meantime ,thats a bonus,thier going to "live forever".People need a crutch,and jehovah witnesses have all the gimmicks for an effective one.

  My mother just says "I know its the truth' AND "Its a imperfect organization,but who else is diong the worldwide work".She wants to believe it,she NEEDS to believe it.She couldnt live without it,thats why 1914 and the UN thing dont phase her.

  Sorry im not happy enough to "frame" as you put it,my past.Isnt that what a catcher does in baseball to make a bad pitch look good.

  I really enjoyed TJ's post,and I understand the point of positive thinking---but to trick yourself into thinking something that was personally bad into something good seems a little strange.

  If someone slightly enjoyed being a jehovahs witness,thats fine.Was it the worst thing on earth,no.But why do I have to accept it as a positive.Things could always be worse,thats a fact,but why can't you be upset because things weren't better.I'm pissed because all of this religous crap was useless.

  People act like you couldn't have had things without the organization-----name one thing you couldnt have gotten without it.
