I just want to flip the bird to the elder body while on stage in the theocratic ministry school during the CO's visit. That would be fun. Especially the CO who thugh it would be fun to mark me.

what was the worse thing while you where in the "truth".
for me, it felt that everynight was a meeting night, the relentlous pressure getting to the meetings.. for my husband, apart from the meetings, it was the never ending assiments.
for my teenage son, it must have been field service.
I just always felt like I wasn't good enough for them. No matter how hard I tried, or how much I did I just never felt like part of the in-group. It really messed me up for a long time. I used to hat the Watchtower study too. It was boring.
i'm almost to the point of an emotional breakdown.
i go out with this guy he's 20, a jw and i'm a 16yr.
he basically breaks all the rules in the book; adultry, sex;oral, drugs, drinking, partying, he's even growing a little chin, bottom and top lip hair.
I don't know if you're ready to hear alot of the advice I would give you. As a big brother to my sister, I would have a problem with a twenty year old guy dating her when she's 16. But we'll leave that issue alone right now. The problem I'm seing with him reminds me of alot of the problems I went through when I was 20. As a witness guy, I had a girlfriend (now my wife) that wasn't a Jehovah's Witness. I also drank alot. I was depressed often due to the stress the religion put on me, and my girlfriend. She eventually converted for me. I'm not yelling when I put this in caps - DON'T CONVERT FOR HIM. I only did this for emphasis. Because it sounds like he already has his doubts. What I suggest is this, if you want to help him with his religous doubts have him talk to some of us on this website. We can help him see it's not what the Witnesses call "The Truth". I live in central Wisconsin so I know about the problems of alchoholism. I've been there. It's nothing to mess around with. When the bottom of an alchohol bottle starts becoming your best friend it's time to get help. I hope this helps you out some. If you need somone to talk to you can use the personal mail on this website, to ask me anything you want. I have a little sister who had lots of problems with drugs, alchohol, and bad choices. But what I would really suggest is to take a step back for a second. Your 16 years old. Don't do anything now you will probably regret later. I hope this helps.

why gary?
i don't know...that name just seems right.. i am not sure exactly what the rules will be...not too many.
i do know that i want a position that has some power.
As long as it doesn't claim to be the "Truth" count me in too.
there's a growing trend for white folks to listen to r&b, hip hop & even "gansta' " rap music, and its generally accepted in the black community.
will there ever come a time when black folks can reasonably get away with listening to country & western music and not be affraid of being clowned upon and derided for listening to it?
come on, where my homies in 'da hood who secretly listen to c&w at?
Sorry, but I hold no prejudice. I'll make fun of anybody for listening to country. But that's alright cause usuallly everyone gives me crap about listening to my good old fashioned heavy metal. As a white boy, I do kind of like the gangsta rap GGGGGGG G-Unit.

i am so angry - i've been a long term lurker here and an occasional poster but i have just got to offload tonight.
mom and i have never been 'in the truth' but my dad and 2 brothers are.
tonight my dad told me that last night he resigned as an elder (which for me personally is great) but the reason is that because both my parents have health issues, especially mom, my dad has been given 6 months to get his act together and put some more hours in field service as he is 'not leading by example'.
It sucks when those bunch of finger pointing idiots hurt people that don't deserve it. I just want to say I understand what it's like to see your dad removed as an elder over BS reasons. Just be thankful he loves your mom more than a false religion that hands out false hopes. Take care.

i use to think that going door to door had its hazardous moments, but the time i was bitten by a dog wow.
that was scary.
i still can't figure out why the mutt bit me as i love animals.
I was a big wimp. If there was even the slightest sign of a dog, I wasn't getting out. There was a lot of rural territory in my congregation too. Even though I tried I still got nailed by a dog once. That sucked. At least it was just a little ankle biter though.

i attended the meeting today, hoping for some encouraging words.
i arrived while the prayer was in progress, i waited, then found my way to a familiy i enjoy and sat with them.
the speaker was visiting from another congregation.
I'm sorry you didn't find what you were looking for at the meeting. I found out a couple of years ago that even though they claim to be the true religion, they really aren't. I was in it all my life, yet it's things like your experience today that show it's nothing more than another false religion. It's sad but it's true. I hope it helps open your eyes.

it makes you wonder when exactly the governing body and their lawyers decided to change the "generation of 1914" doctrine.
the first quotation below is from the 1992 wt and the second one from the 1993 brochure the purpose of life, just two lousy years before they imfamously dropped the whole idea:
*** w92 5/1 p. 7 the 1914 generation?why significant?
That just annoys me. I can't believe I spent so much time dedicating myself to an organization that is completely false. I love how they just decide to change things to keep their lies going.
we decided to go to ohio to see family since there was no snow and so the kids could get their presents from their grandmother.
before we left out my husband wanted to stop at his favorite eletronics store because they were having a really good sale on speakers.. we go to the store.
hubby goes in, buys speakers, and comes out with the salesman to load the speakers into our van.. after the speakers are loaded the salesman tells my hubby he wants to give our kids something but it's in his car.
I always think it's stupid when the Witnesses find it necessary to be all preachy when they're at work. Can't they just do their job and act like a normal human once in a while. It reminds me of the stupid parking lot witnessing that was popular in my old cong.
