  i used to love break time.

  especially if it was afternoon service, and we stopped at taco bell.

  i used to be damn good at eating tacos in the car without spilling anything.

  Me and a buddy of mine did that out in service. We were way the hell back there on this old snowmobile trail, when we came face to face with a cop. We almost shit our pants when his lights came on. He asked us what we were doing, and we made up some lie about turning down the wrong road. It must have looked really funny as we sat there in our suits, listening to the cop yell at us. I'm sure the "service angels" that were with us were proud.

  straight away told im not ready for baptism, not with the amount and depth of questions, that ive been warned about these sites and that apostates will do anything to knock jws.

  proving its the true religion bec the bible says it will happen (shows me scriptures).

  also told it doesnt happen with any other religious group - usually people just quietly leave and make no fuss - further proof that ths is the true religion.. i asked about all the dates where predictions were made, eg 1914, 1975. was told there were some articles loosly talking the 'possibility' of something happening, but the wt never said it definitely would - how could it, these are just ordinary men, not profits.

  Holly, you should be happy. You asked questions, and got no real answers. That right there proves the JW religion is not the true one. You asked some really good questions. I wonder some of those same things. Why doesn't God show himself? Hopefully someday we will both find the answers which we seek.

  i was stunned by this dismal piece that i read in forbes magazine recently.

  coming from the uk it is astonishing to me that an affluent nation as is the us, cannot provide better protection for the health and welfare of its citizens.

  i was especially astonished by the fact that insurance companies withdraw their coverage while a person is sick and in need of help.

  I used to love break time. Especially if it was afternoon service, and we stopped at Taco Bell. I used to be damn good at eating tacos in the car without spilling anything. It was that one joyful moment of the day when you weren't stressed out or annoyed. My other favorite thing was when somone would start talking shit about somone else. I used to love when somone had a long ass call, and you were sitting around in the car with the congregation gossiper. It was always funny to listen to what they had to say. Then you realized they probably talked shit about you too. So what did you guys like best?

  i just awoke from a bad dream of my dad giving a sunday talk.... it got me to thinking about all the bad jokes he liked to put in his talk...and i wonder why he did that?

  Up in Merrill, there was this elder by the name of Karl VanTubergun. He was so spastic in the way he gave jokes up on the platform. The jokes sucked!!! But he was so funny to watch as he flailed his arms. We used to call him "Bib Bird" because he looked goofy, and flapped his arms like wings.

  The president of cong. has invited me to dinner and a little "talk"

  the president of our congregation has invited me and a couple of other young people from the cong.

  to dinner on friday and then to watch the new "youth: how to make good friends" video, and then have a little "talk" about it.. though, im fearing that "talk" is going to be a little bit more serious than just a relaxed night out.. should i go?

  Watchtower Magazine to be Published Monthly

  i heard from my bethel contact that the magazines are to be published monthly from 2006 and 2007. only 12 mags a year, but 46 pages each with no colour illustrations.has anyone else heard about this cut back?

  i also heard there is to be a new song book in the summer so that witnesses no longer sing about "sheep and goats" and other "old light".

  hi, i am new to this site.

  i have been an ex- jw for about 10years now, and this is the first time i have done this.

  ( trying to avoid the "apostate" label) haha i would love to hear from some ex- jw's, and see if they have and are going thru some of the same experiences that i am.
