Kls, saw Godsmack in Milwaukee with Metallica this last summer. Godsmack is my all time favorite band. I can sing pretty much just like the guy. I would love to meet them.

Ooh, it would be awesome to see them in Vegas. You can really party like a rock star there.

I can't wait to hear them sing "Shout At The Devil".

it's been a while since the society has been specific about what kind of music to avoid hasn't it?.
the last i remember was when the said to stay away from rap and heavy metal.
that was a while ago.
I was the poster child for evil music when I used to go to the kingdom hall. The elders would search my car when I wasn't looking, just to try and incriminate me. When I moved to another congregation, one of the lines in the letter they sent read "has a severe problem with rap and heavy metal music". I find it funny, because music has always been a way for me to vent and express myself. They are afraid of anything that makes you as an individual question their teachings.
I know Alice in Chains, Metallica, Danzig, Godsmack, Zombie, NIN , and Manson were the catalysts that got the ball rolling in my quest to leave the JW religion. It wasn't having to do a lot of research, which I did later. Those bands helped me see what I really was all about inside of myself.
People should be able to listen to whatever they want to. The society realizes though, that if they allow that, others may come to question them like I did.

today i decided that people on this forum need some bragging rights.
(of course this is just a veiled disguise for me to claim some of my own bragging rights.
good things happen all the time to my friends on this site and we never hear about them.
I'll be proud when I get a new job.

I just want to say congrats to Austin and "Tree of Woe", and wish them all the success in the world. I haven't had anything to be proud of lately, but I'll let you know when I do.

i was always fascinated with dinosaurs as a kid.
i remembering asking my mother how come the bible doesn't mention the dinosaurs ... i mean, if he created everything, he must've created the dinosaurs.
why no mention?
O.K. I can't resist telling you one of my most embarrasing stories. When I was 12 or 13 I was still obsessed with dinasuars.(yeah I was a dork) Anyways, I had like a bedspread with them on it and stuff. So this new girl moves in the congregation who I have a huge crush on. My parents invite her family over, and she sees my dorky room and she just gives me this look that says "you are a loser". Needless to say I changed my decorating in my room real quick. I still think dinasaurs are cool though.
