Balsam, that is so sad. It makes me feel bad to think of how many families have been destroyed due to false teachings of the JW's.

Does disfellowshipping work?
by what_Truth? ini am going to conduct a little pseudoscientific experiment here.
my hope is to prove without a doubt that disfellowshipping causes more problems for the jw's than it solves.
to do this i will ask all of you who voluntarily left: .

I just loved the facial expression on everyone's face when I walked in. I felt like the prodigal son. Except I wasn't sorry for anything I had done. The Guns n Roses t-shirt just fit the situation. Axle would have been proud.

Heavy equipment and me don't mix. I would seriously hurt myself with something like that. But, I'm sure somone would get a good laugh out of it.

An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...
by Doubtfully Yours inan elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

For me it is always that Firm and Determined song. I hate the lyrics to that song so bad. It makes me want to hurl.

It'll be O.K. Just think of Norb in his underwear if he comes up to talk to you. You'll either laugh or hurl. Seriously though, don't stress. It'll be alot of small talk.

JWD Sign in. Were You a Dub When You First Came Here?
by xjw_b12 in.
seeing this is the 5th anniversary of jwd, i was curious as to how many who still post here, were dyed in the wool jws, but later sucumbed to "the truth about the truth" .
were an active/semi-active jw, and this site and others were enough to convince you that your doubts had substance.

I was simply a faded away JW with lots of guilt and issues when I first posted. But now with everyones help on this forum I gained the stregnth to disassociate myself, and free myself from the guilt I had. I really now feel a sense of closure.
