To be the right hand of God you sure don't remember well. I asked you why was satan created even though God knew what was going to happen in the future because he knows everything and can do everything. And if he didn't know that creating satan would turn into something bad, why would he risk it, and why is God an incompetent God then.

Do "they" care?
by peggy ini attended the meeting today, hoping for some encouraging words.
i arrived while the prayer was in progress, i waited, then found my way to a familiy i enjoy and sat with them.
the speaker was visiting from another congregation.

I experienced that flood also and I didn't hear one remark about all the other individuals that died and had their houses ruined that weren't JWs. And I heard a lot of comments. I still believed it back then but it still hurt.

Ok Brownboy. Can you teach me something? I want you to answer me this. If God created everything and knows everything possible... then why did he create Satan. Doesn't that prelude to the thought that God created evil? Inevitably meaning that he is evil also? Or God is just really incompetent and haven't taken all his lessons in seeing the future.

Thanks for posting guys. Ya I'm planning on taking it slow and easy then breaking away. But I got a good year and a half to think about it so Im going to take my time.
And the hard part about it is... my Dad's an elder. One son disfellowshipped and another son lukewarming it and one daughter that's the greatest JW in the world.

I'm in a pretty tough pickle at the moment. I was on this site before under another username but I haven't been here for a long time. So here it goes... I am fully convinced that this religion isn't what it's cracked up to be. However, I'm not in any position to leave. I'm only 16 (17 in a few days) and I need to decide what is the best course of action. I really can't have my psyche messed with anymore by my parent's isolation, I have so many things to do and so many people to see but I will never do those things or see those people if I stay under my parent's roof. I'm wondering how I should leave, I'm having a troubling time thinking about whether to just up and go when I finish high school and when I'm 18, or slowly break away from the religion while I'm still at home. Both will cause my parent's emotion distress which I don't want to happen, however I do know it's inevitable. They might inhibit me from the few activities I can enjoy if I start seperating from my meetings but if I just go and leave that will bring Them even more pain. So what do you guys suggest I should do?

Was God in this disaster?

i know many of us are struggling with so many issues involving god and the bad things that happen.
for me this recent tsunami disaster was over the top, i'm beyond understanding and i'm not going to say this article helped me understand any better but it did show me that x-jw's aren't the only ones who struggle with such questions.

This incident has caused me to feel a bunch of different feelings. A lot I've never really felt. I hate being the minority in this and not believing in God, but it's still a terrible disaster none the less. I hope people do not automatically forget this and shove it off as old news.

On a semi-unrelated topic news of the weird reported on a muslim woman who went to court to get her husband to stop beating her and the court ordered him to stop and she said "I didn't want that, I only wanted the court to order him to only beat me once a week"... WTF is the MATTER with these people!!!!!!

don't want to give any disrepectuful comments about it as this tragedy is overwhelming and i am grateful for any who have come out of this alive.
but yet i am still suspicious of any of these jw reports.

pierce. I'm still in the organization and will be for a little while longer. Sorry to say I don't quite believe in everything that the organization says but I can assure you that charitable funds don't just put donations in their pockets. They couldn't help the thousands of people that they are helping if they did.
