Very good points, most of those were shown to me a long time ago and are the reason I lost all confidence in the WT. Then found better answers than the WT offered me. borgfree

Suggestions, please re ``placing'' free COCs

a friend and i have come across a quantity of crisis of conscience in like-new condition, both english and italian editions.

we're in a quandary as to how to make best use of them.

we were thinking of donating them to the libraries or to perhaps cut a deal wth a local christian book store.

When I left the WT about 10 years ago I donated Ray Franz's books and several others to the library. They are still there and are checked out often. I have also been invited to several churches to present programs about the WT. In those I have used videos literature etc. and everything was appreciated by the churches. Maybe it is just our area but I think library's and churches are both places that would use them. Borgfree

i have some questions.

as i understand it, if armageddon came tomorrow, those that never heard the truth, in such places as india or china would either live through armageddon or die and be resurrected.

We were always taught, "this good news of the kingdom must be preached in all of the nations for a witness and then the end will come"

Am I the only one who thinks the Watchtower is loosing ground, that the population has been increasing faster that the Witnesses preaching?

Also, Does anyone else think that the 144,000 must surely have been filled long before the Judge shut the door on heaven in 1935?

The WT teaching is wrong about surviving armageddon, the bible says "he who believes in Me (Jesus) has everlasting life"

this past weekend, one of the few remaining jw relatives who will still discuss jw stuff with me told me about his recently attending a home bible study being conducted by an elder.

evidently, the study had been told or had picked up some info about the 1975 fiasco.

the elder totally denied that the society had stated or even led people to believe that armageddon would occur in 1975, and he naturally blamed some individual jws for misinterpreting the society's materials.

I do not recall using 1975 that much from door to door. I remember when it did come up, we would explain the creation of Adam and that 1975 would mark 6000 years from his creation, and that it would be appropriate for the thousand year reign to begin at that time. As far as the date 1975 I remember telling people at the door that the Society was not saying "what" would happen in 1975 but that it was "definately a marked year"

Dream on You Know,
I was born into a family of JWs in 1938, I would never go to school as the end would be here before I would start school. I remember the miracle wheat thing, the great pyramid thing, no vacinations, no organ transplants, etc.,etc.,etc.

Look into the Society's history before you waste any more of your life on the lie.

i leave tonight to head for ritzville.

there have been so many kind thoughts and notes sent which i am going to pass on to erica when i get there.

we even had a person from germany send $80 for flowers.
