i have been wondering the meaning of this parable.
i know what jehovah's witnesses believe it is, but is there another interpretation?

The WT likes to divide everything into organizations, "Christendom"
The parable was not speaking of "organizations" It simple refers to wheat as "true followers of Christ" and the weeds are "false or fake Christians"

well, i've finally had it.
i'm da'ing myself, along with a piece of my fam.
the unbaptised ones are refusing to go with my father now, and even my still devout father is leaning towards our opinion on things.. there wasn't even any screaming when i called the jw's the great hypocrisy last nite.. i just can allow myself to be associated with them in any way.

i was reading a thread a few days ago which got me thinking.
it was about everyones views on apostates before leaving the dubs.

Usually at the conventions they appoint attendants to remove all flyers that you might put on cars, the only way that has worked, that I know of, is to roll them up and slip them into the door openings, where the attendants cannot get to them.
At the conventions where we demonstrated, we actually had some, very few, witnesses who took our flyers. The attendants came out of the building and actually took the flyers away from the JWs.

firstly, hello from a newbie .
i was reading a thread a few days ago which got me thinking.
it was about everyones views on apostates before leaving the dubs.
I have demonstrated outside WT conventions. There are many stories I could tell about our experiences, but I will have to wait for another time. After three years at one convention our group (3 to 5) usually, decided that we might be doing more harm than good and stopped demonstrating at the conventions, at least for now.
While demonstrating, we were lied about, to police, we were called names, cursed, followed closely everywhere we went, men in cars with two way radios driving back and forth everywhere we went, others on the roof of the convention center with binoculars watching us every moment we were in the area (from car, demonstrating and back to car)
At two of the conventions they had hundreds of JW men line the entranceways from the doors to the parking lots, so that JWs could walk between the lines without being exposed to our signs. This against 3 demonstrators. Just a little humorous.

websters new world dictionary defines apostate as one who have abandoned their faith.
that definition does not describe me.

I agree, I am not an apostate by the scriptural meaning. However I take pleasure in being an "apostate" by the Watchtower definition.

should i go this year and make everyone's jaw drop??

I certainly understand your feelings. In my hurry last post, I should have stated that I think their table might qualify as a table of demons. I don't think I have the right to make a definate pronouncement that it is. I know a few ex-s, that I highly respect, that did just what you want to do and for similar reasons.

My meaning is, briefly, a true Christian excepts the full teachings of Jesus Christ, they then have communion with Him. JWs do not except the full teachings of Jesus, their table is therefor not His table and must qualify as a table of demons.

I know a few ex-jws who have gone to the KH and partaken. I do not know where you are spiritually but you might want to consider the scripture about "you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons"

what would happen if everybody on earth who was a jw woke up tomorrow morning and didn't remember anything at all?
something like having total amnesia?.
