Do you tell your friends your were a JW?
by eljefe inlast night i was out with my friends and i ran into another ex-jw.
based on the conversation with this ex-jw, my friends could tell that i was hiding something.
i think i will have to tell my friends that i was a jw.

All of my close friends know They asked a lot of questions at first but its calmed down now and they understand why i didnt come to xmas parties and stuff.
plus now i dont have to act all wierd around them

If I were to visit your town for the first time..
by doodle-v inwhat food places would you reccomend?
if im in a new town, i like going to eat at places that locals go to that most like likely are not in all the tourists guides, if possible.
if you were to come to my town, i'd probably take you to eat at dick's drive in (best burgers imo) and if you were in the mood for something fancy, maybe el gauchos (best steakhouse imo) and terrific atmosphere... how bout you?

Where are you on the map? New Maps
by Lady Lee inok there are so many americans on the map now i had to split you all in half.. valis was kind enough to let me place the maps on his website until i found a new home for them.. photobucket seems to be a good option - at least for now.
so i have uploaded the new maps which have been updated to include everyone who has asked.. so if you were wondering where we are from.

Do you still Pray?
by Dustin insince i stopped being a jw i haven't prayed.
so the other day i went to supper at my parent's house who are still jw's, and they prayed before we ate.
it was a very strange feeling, and it stirred up alot of weird feelings.

I disagree, I am having the same problem. I believe God exsists but I'm not sure that he hears my prayers. Reading the book of Romans and learning about Grace and that we can have a direct relationship with Jesus without mediation from the GB is really helping. Don't give up on believing just because you're not associated with the organization.

I have an older cd by JARS OF CLAY called MUCH AFRAID its really good
just about anything by Third Day is good I just recently started listening so im still trying to get to no the artists but your right it makes you feel good especially if your still trying to live life as a christian
