  i posted on another thread a bit ago and it reminded me of how kind and warm and supportive so many jwd womenz have been.

  sometimes we don't sieze the opportunities we have to let others know how much we appreciate their caring and support.. i lurv you womenz!!!

  Frannie- Thank you...I feel the same of you. I think you have a lot of strength that we all can learn from and just when I think I am really one tough cookie...here comes Frannie making me look like a wet behind the ear newborn frog....(I know, frogs arent born, and dont really have anything sticking out so as to be wet behind) but you get my meaning. I have read some of what you write and I always go away feeling so humble and inspired at the same time.

  Thoughts on forgivness...Is there a process?

  though this they actually have learned why it is they need it (forgivness).

  am i backwards on this?

  i work with people and ex husbands who profess to love god, and all the while when they are angry they ask for god's help to forgive people.

  onacruise- strange. I always preached forgivness, and it was not until I really was humbled and saw how wrong I was on so much, that I really understood what being or giving forgivness was. I too went thru that phase in my life where I was going to be damned if I would forgive anyone. But just like that...poof, a lot of anger and hurt disapeared when I saw how much I REALLY needed it.

  At any rate, I still think the people I work with use the calling for strength to forgive as a crutch. To make an outward show of Godliness, but all the while trying to call attention to the wrongs of others and not making any move to examine themselves.

  why do jw women have to wear a headcovering at certain times?.

  are you considered inactive if you attend meetings but don't go out in field service?.

  as you can probably tell i never really paid attention at the meetings (generally day dreamed them away)so i don't know what the answers are to these questions.

  I think it is meant to be a respect thing....whatever. Think they need to earn it, not place it as a knick knack on us gals heads.

  Tarot Cards

  i own five tarot card decks, and use them often.

  not so often that i live my life by them, but enough.

  one deck is one i use more then others, as i feel more of a connection with the cards.

  I have two decks. One because I like the pictures and one because I wanted to learn how to read. I got bored really quick. No offense meant by that comment, I just wanted to say I don't think demons are attacking me because of the presence of them in my home.

  Me personally I think that one must first realize where they have hurt other people and ask them for forgivness. Though this they actually have learned why it is they need it (forgivness). Then they can feel free for to God to help them forgive other people. Am I backwards on this?

  I work with people and ex husbands who profess to love God, and all the while when they are angry they ask for God's help to forgive people. Meanwhile there are so many people they have hurt laying at their feet so to speak...

  It just makes me think of that scripture that says bring your gifts, and leave them so that first you may go make peace with your brother, then your gifts are acceptable to give.

  I sometimes feel they do this calling out for help as a show. Just a big manipulative show.

  Chasing rainbows - how I got engaged in Paris

  i took kate, my girlfriend of between the last five and ten years (depending how you define girlfriend) to paris this weekend and proposed.

  i had a couple of scenarios mapped out, but was playing it by ear as to the right moment.. on saturday night when we sat down to eat at a restaurant the waiter asked me if i "had got engaged to the lady yet", and then said "if not, i will".

  i'm sure he does it to every foreign couple where the women isn't wearing a ring but i could not believe it that one .

  Tattoo you?

  ok, i've been watching the show "inked" on a&e and i think it's a really cool show about tattoo artists in las vegas.

  and lately i've been thinking about getting a tattoo somewhere on my body, possiblely my lower back.

  my sister has one there and i think it's really cool.

  I have 5/6 depending on how you count them . How they are as a whole, or when I got them.

  5 hearts on my ankle,

  a fairy on 1/4 of my back.

  The symbol for Harmony on my lower neck

  a sunflower on my tailbone

  and a tribal pattern below it. goes across my back

  Had my nose pierced twice

  and now have 5 piercings on one ear and two on the other

  oh...belly button is too. Twice.

  I say go for it.

  i grew up in a "divided household" in missouri.

  i suspect my mother had post partum depression when jws knocked on her door.

  she fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

  Fortunately the people I know in Joplin are not JW's and there are some close adopted family of sorts still in St. James. When I go back I go to the local bakery and make sure to say hi to all the JW's on "break" from service. strange, some actually talk back to me. Others have just turned away.

  Again welcome...I have to get to bed now. Work comes early.
