I have been trying to finish in between work reading about this case. I must say it is a very sad day. I salute them for making a stir...at least.

I would say dishonesty 'bout sums it up. That is top of the catagory and under it can fall infidelity, I also can not stand abuse physical or mental. I dont have the energy for drama. There is a certian amount you cannot avoid in life...but cant deal with a drama maker.

Ever got stung or bitten by animals?
by greendawn indid you ever get attacked by nasties from the animal world?
that includes getting stung by bees, wasps, spiders, scorpions, medusas, poisonous fish etc .
or perhaps suffered a snake bite, heavens forbid, or bites from dogs, lions, bears etc

When I was just new in a cong of very old people. I went to sit down on a bench and a bumble bee flew up an bit me on my {special spot}. I thought I was going to die.
The old ladies were dying to help me and after much protest I was surrounded by 80 year olds who proceeded to surround my bumm and dig the stinger out. they then slathered Dawn detergent on the spot.
That was not only extremely painful, it was most embarrasing and gross.

who escapes more often, those born into it or adult converts?
by kid-A inwhat strikes me on this board is the number of adult converts that have left the borg, either fading out or getting df'd.
from my experience (i was born into it, 2nd generation, left before getting baptized) most of the faders or escapees were also like.
me, born into it, never really accepted it and just bowed out at the first opportunity.

Its hard to say. I know without a doubt I would NEVER have become a dub if I hadn't been born into it.
I agree GBL. I don't think I would have thought twice about it. It would have not even interested me. There are all the variables we do not know, but I just cant see myself being interested.

by Daunt ini just wanted to start this thread to vent out about how i'm being forced to go to the district assembly convention bullcrap twice all 3 days and to get a little advice on how to get out of it.
but mainly it would be interesting to know how other people got out of going to the meetings.
like acting sick, falling down and scraping your knee, different ways you got out of going to it.

Richie-You know I am working on that.,.. Being taught right now. Some of those were taken a year ago when I had nothing but a tiny lil camera with no flash option...Things are different now. And class is on.
Damselfly- thank you. be glad to, I know you are a bit away, but I can almost swear there must be a few photographers on this board that are a lot more experienced. Give me time and I will catch up..hopefully.

i learned about it from my mom who also posts here.
i used to be a jw but was (thankfully) never baptized, and because of that (the fact that i am no longer a jw) it has kept me from talking to my grandmothers, some of my uncles, and my aunts and also some of my cousins.
