Confession time...My mom would let me walk to the library and spend days at a time there. It was a long walk too (miles). So my girlfriend would go to Judy Blume...and I snuck off and went straight to the adult section as much as I could. Yeah, I wanted to learn it all. BECAUSE it was said to be so bad. Many a good book I would reread certian chapters till the pages were worn off. lol I kinda got obsessed with all the sex books. Wanted to know how to do it all. I seriously am not so sure it would be the same unless it was so forbidden and so tabu.
My mother did the same with me and I would head straight for the adult books - did you ever find the Judy Blume one - Wifey! Also read Summer Sisters - thats really good.

Truly soul sisters...lol Actually, I skipped the Judy Blume for the most part. When I should have been reading that, I was on Clan of the Cave Bear (Wore that book out heavy breathing) and Oh the Karma Sutra. Followed by The far Pavillions and the Winds of War. War and Rememberance. Oh and how about the spiritual books on Tantric "Love" and all the self help books. I tell you what...I sure did not need to be let into that library. I did see that the forbidden Karma Sutra was not at all what I thought. I guess because it was so educational. It had more on self care. Cleanliness, and healing things. I have even bought my daughter it seeing she is into teen years and it has a lot of advice on taking care of yourself as a female. Plus it has a twist of the Middle East so she is more apt to find it not so "lame".

Most excellent. Makes me think of how badly I wanted to play drums. We were too poor. I see stomp now and I see there was so much I could have done. But alas. Don't cry over that right. so I bought drums and I can play a bit...but not how I want to. I steady myself by being able to dance like a set of drums. Got the rythme. lol Tell you what? I have the same thing with the guitar. I have had about 7 guitars...maybe. Cannot play a lick. Never got the knack of it. So instead I make sure my kids can learn if they like. My son is a pretty good saxaphonist. He plays sometimes on Sunday at a local pub with a group of older men some blues stuff. His passion is 20's Jazz though.

sigh. But just a soft one...for regrets are bad. I try not to have them!

The Wanderer, I've looked at a lot of your subject titles and you seem to borrow many of your questions from me.
Does someone need a hug?
There there minimus(often copied, never duplicated).

So I so am about to open canned worms! BUT.. I have noticed this also. The only thing is minimus does not seem to load his questions. If he asks a question, it does not seem so confrontational. Maybe we have just grown accustom to Min.... And Wanderer, I still have something to say on the interracial thread...just need some time to process.

I think its partly responsible for my sexual deviancy. From the first time I heard the word fornication at age 4 I was obsessed. Looking forward to menopause or death to interupt this life long addiction.

I agree wholeheartedly with Crumpet on this one....but why mess up a great disorder? That is what I am saying. I keep thinking...So THIS is mid Thirties...and they say it only gets better!

i would like everyone to have at least one long held dream or ambition come true.

or are you lucky enough to have made your dreams into substance already?.

Oh my dream...when my kids are set....I want to travel and work at photography. Document life as it is. Explore all the wonders. Work and provide photos on a level such as Magnum accepts. That is what I want to do. Simplify and travel. Take my lover and see all there is to see, taste it, feel it, live it. I want to be th person bringing the other side of the world to you in photos. Just go....see it all and document it.

Now, how to get there?

You peeps are full of fun this morning...

Well I would like to be big enough to say I would not change a thing, but that is not so. Truly tho', the things I would change would bring about changes in my personality that would probably not make me as strong as I am. Then I may not have the desire to do the things I want to do, nor the personality to achieve them. So I guess I need stay with it as is.

I am going to make it all happpen anyways...one way or another, so it is all good. I just have a harder road to get there!

they work hard and take care of their mothers.

they are loving uncles and kind hearted.

but they are 5'3', 290 lbs., bald at 35 and their personal interests are grounded in 3 stooges movies and star trek reruns.

I have to say that I somewhat agree, that society makes it hard on normal men, as it does the average woman....BUT, BIG BUT...I seriously have a thing for the normal male. Yes I love attractive males as anyone does, but it just seems to me that the average male often has worked a lot more on the personality and that just thrills me.

A good conversation, and a person that has humour and can be charming and care about themselves often move me more than any supermodel would. Not saying if you are attractive that you don't have a personality, but truly, people need to be realistic and the average woman needs to be realistic. I think you can go a lot farther by being a decent person and making yourself interesting and not just relying on looks alone.

There are so many ways to improve your looks and often it is a case of just adapting a personality. Look at all the comedians that can move masses by laughter. Or the people who have average looks and are hooked up with the extremely gorgeous person? Usually it is because they were not intimidated by the looks and had something of substance to offer.

Looks fade you know...for most everyone!

And legal sex...well that is a different topic. People are going to do what they are going to do. It is a dangerous world out there and if the person looking for a prostitute was the type that would keep it at harmless, well I just have probably unorthadox feelings on that. Sad thing is, it is not looks alone that make a person turn to paid luving...often it may be deeper problems. Some of them not so nice. It can put people in serious situations they are not needing to be in.
