Hi jeannie... I've forgiven my brother. Never my parents though. Holier than thou crap that they have. I could really go on and vent, not gonna let it get to me. If my parents ever did come around, we would never have a child/parent relationship again(not that we ever did). I would treat them as acquaintances, you know, 'how's the weather' type of thing. hg

I was a naughty JW girl. I never dated with marriage in mind. Everyone thought I was, I would get just far enough to be almost engaged, or engaged, and then move on to the next guy. My parents have a HORRIBLE marriage!! Are so brainwashed that they stay together. So I never wanted to get married, was scared to death of it until I met my 'worldly' hubby. He showed me what normal is like! hg

Another Newbie from Wisconsin
by TooOpinionated inafter seeing all the new people from wisconsin today i decided to come out of my lurker mode.
i have been practically obsessed with this board since i discovered it, and i give everyone here credit for helping my husband and i leave the borg.
i had been in 11 years, and my husband 27 years, along with our 3 small children.

I made a mistake
by under74 inthe other day i was on a site....looking for a certian news clip i had seen where an older news guy get's mad at the news anchor that replaced him on air...anyway a hit came up reading old news anchor and i downloaded it.
after it was done downloading i started playing it.
this guy's handing out things to certain people he calls by name at a press conference.

74 I totally understand where you're coming from! When 9 11 happened, I was flipping through all the news channels and landed on BBC. They decided to show people jumping from the roof and top floors of the WTC and having the camera on them all the way. That image was so unerving and unsettling and just horrible. It's still in my head to this day. I see no reason why such things should be taped, it's a tragedy not entertainment. hg
