  Mr. Flipper's Son Hears and Sees Bigfoot- I'm Serious, Not Joking

  i know i'm setting myself up here, but here it goes.

  first of all if you want to crack funnies about this or jokes, that's perfectly cool, it's alright, i don't mind.

  however this is a true story from what happened in may and my motive for writing about this is not just humor, but i want to see if anybody else has experienced what my son went through while being in the mountains or anywhere.

  I know that if Bigfoot was proven, with out a doubt, existed it would be cool but would it be cool to the point of changing some beliefs such as Atheism? Agnostics? Creationists?

  I don't mean to sound ignorant on this...but I'll admit, I am. I've only heard occasional stories about Bigfoot. What's so important about finding out if Bigfoot is real or not? Again, sorry for the ignorance...I've tried to look up Bigfoot and stories and can't make heads or tails from it.

  And does my question make any sense?

  Basically...why such a big hype for Bigfoot when we find new species in our world each year.

  What is Your Scariest Experience in Life?

  i'd have to say mine was when i was at the wee age of 8.. my siblings and i were out swimming with some friends and their parents.

  what i remember mostly was that i got seperated very quickly from the rest of the group and drifted into the deeper end.

  i found it getting more and more difficult to swim with each passing second.

  One experience I had about 10 years ago is still too traumatic that I care not to discuss unless I have to. I'll just say Elders/Police/local Newspaper was involved...

  The other experience I can remember today as if it happened yesterday is I was about 15 when I and other friends were playing in the swimming pool. I ventured out a bit too deep and slipped. I didn't know how to swim and started to drown. I remember my "self" floating out from my body and warning my friends. They pulled me up from the water. From what they said, I was "flopping like a fish and turned blue" when they seen me in the water. I know how to swim now but I'm still a bit scared of water if it goes too deep.

  Anyone else setting up the Christmas tree or thinking of it already?

  being that i like the looks of the christmas lights and that i have had 20 years of not being able to set them up, i have already taken the step of setting up the christmas tree.

  on it are huge amounts of lights--12 sets of c6 led bulbs (they come 60 to a set) plus a set of 70 miniature leds for the top region.

  i ran out of c6 bulbs about halfway up the tree (not to worry, i have the other 6 sets on order and they should be arriving today).. there are some things to think about when setting up a holiday tree out of "season".

  Oh I absolutely LOVED that Halloween tree. Now I'm gonna have to get one up. I loved the idea of getting old branches. That would make an interesting eerie looking tree. I can't decide if I like Halloween the best or Christmas (I call it winter solstice).

  Do you ever fear that they will kill you?

  i've heard the jws referred to on this site mostly as a cult.

  as such, am i the only one who fears that one day the society will tell them to eliminate all of us who have been deemed apostates?

  i can think of several of my old "friends" who would not hesitate to take me out.

  Well, my wife might kill me by refusing to allow doctors to give me a blood transfusion while I'm unconscious.

  OM...I'd suggest talking with your doctors and having a written letter stating that if you're unconscious to allow the doctors to give blood. I was nervous that if one of my kids were hurt while grandparents were watching them they wouldn't give them blood. I talked with my doctor and she recommended me doing this.

  My parents don't talk with me or the kids much, so I don't have to worry about this much now but at the time when they were talking to me mom made it clear that she wouldn't allow the doctors to give blood regardless of what my ex and I felt.

  As far as the question to this thread goes...yes, I've thought about it but no I don't worry about it. I really don't think it would ever happen. I believe that this "fear" is part of the paranoia from being taught this as a JW. JW's are afraid of everything.

  what are some of the stupidest warning labels you've seen?.

  i just bought some sleep aid pills, and get this, they may cause drowsiness..

  I just bought a cool lighter and on the back of the package..."warning, can cause fire"...

  DUH!!!

  I also like those advertisements that say it helps with stomach cramps (particularly for PMS) and one side affect is "may cause abdominal pain"

  i've been on the board for quite a while now and was wondering, what do my fellow jwdr's do for work, employment or career?

  me, i'm in probably one of the most hated careers in america right now.

  (not gonna tell you what it is either) but how about you, what do you do to earn a little coin?.

  Part time in the House Cleaning business. (Just picked up another house) I've been doing it off and on for 15 years.

  Full time student. Trying to get my degree to get out of the house cleaning.

  Full time mom, care taker, taxi driver, cheerleader for son's games, and more...(lol)

  Just found out my dog has cancer

  two types of cancer in both her upper and lower jaws.

  melanoma in the top jaw, squamous cell carcinoma in the lower.

  both are bad cancers.

  So my college gives me an advanced class when it should be beginners!!!

  i'm about to pull my hair out with it.

  i'm frustrated because i'm working my arse off with this class and still maybe will pass with a d. i've called the counselors, teachers and other students.

  axia (my college branch from phoenix) will be changing it but not until after we complete this course.

  My best advice is to ignore grades and concentrate on the material. Grades are mostly meaningless.

  That's what I have to do. I know I'm smart and can understand most things but this is very frustrating. I just wish I could have had a different course that could have prepared me. I do TRULY want to understand this stuff. I don't want to pass just to be passing; I want to UNDERSTAND it as well.
