  do you think the wt has become more lenient or stricter over the year?.

  i am 21 and i remember just 4 years ago going to college was looked at as something negative.

  girls my age, we had plans to be ft pioneers and become secretaries.

  OC--I have not been going to the meetings, so I can't comment on the WT Study. I was forcing myself to go for a while but it was very hard not to speak my mind! So instead of getting in trouble--I've been keeping a low profile and a smile on my face when I see anyone from the cong.!

  I do remember sighing loudly a few times and wanting to scream and run out the door!

  Thanks for all the friendly messages--it's the most attention I've had in a long time! My head might explode!!

  Hello! I have posted a couple of times, so I guess I should introduce myself. I don't want to give out too many details as I am baptized and have not decided what I want to do. I've been fading for awhile--no one in my cong. has shown any interest in me--I hope it stays that way--but I doubt it!

  I've seen a lot of crap go on over the years and some of it is in my family--it's amazing what some get away with. I cannot believe that the brothers have Jehovah's backing--no way! Reading the Silentlambs website is what really got me to thinking. I have also read COC--what a book!

  Even thought I am a talker, it seems hard to type about what I feel. Maybe as time goes on it will be easier! I look forward to getting to know all of you!

  JW funerals getting more personable??

  i went to a jw funeral wednesday.

  it was for the dad of two good jw friends (at least back in the days) of mine.

  he was one of the nicest men ive ever known.

  A close friend of mine--too young--died a few years back of cancer. She was such a character and I sat there thinking of all the silly things she did. I only recall the brother mentioning one story about her personally--there was so much more about her that could have been said. Of course you know what the rest of the talk was like!

  Trouble for Richie?

  so today, after the meeting, one of the elders from my jc walks up to me and my mother and asks if we had time to talk.

  thankfully, i had to get to work, and mom wasn't feeling great.

  we said today wasn't good.. so basiccally he said that he and another brother want to meet with us on wednsday night, after the tms, to "see how things are going".. so here's quandry:.

  Wow! Why is your mom so harsh? I have a son your age--he is all I ever wanted and I love him so much! I could never say something like that to him. I am inactive--I did raise him as a JW--he is not baptized and I have advised him to stay that way. I hope that it turns out to be nothing!-----Calico
