Time of the End .... for the WTBTS?

i know the wtbts have bastardised the criteria for 'the time of the end' and 1914, but as far as i am aware, it will still come while those that were alive in 1914 (not necessarily of an understanding age lol) are still alive, yes?

now, if we give them all until they are 110 years old (quite generous of me don't you think), that means in 20 years time we should see the wtbts disappear (or at least be in rapid decline) as all of the anointed are pushing up daisies, and this wicked world is still alive and kicking.

suppose we could see an increase in field service at old folks homes!

Honesty

The GB will wet their britches if the end comes before their next prediction and they're still around to see it.

If they've gone on to their reward will they see it? I would be afraid to risk it if I were them.

just found this site today and as well as being amused, concerned and shocked at some of the stuff i?ve found here, reading the bios and posts of other ex jw?s has in a way made me feel a little bit less alone in the world.

don?t get me wrong, i?m not an emotionally scared loner, it?s like i?ve finally found someone else to stand outside morning assemble with.

You will sleep peacefully knowing that your decision to abandon the WTBTS version of truth was right on target.

Definitely NOT THE APOSTATE WTBTS and its 'non-profit organisations.'

DA'ing coming up, to speak out now or not?

hi there, i know its up to me in the end, but just wondering, what would most of you do?

my da'ing could be tonight, should i take the opportunity (before they can no longer speak to me ) to tell a few jw's that i am being da'd for telling the truth, or not to bother.

does it matter anyway.

I say go for it!! Better to burn out than to fade away!+ I wish now that I had stood up in the cong just after the prayer and exposed the hypocrisy the GB is involved in even if I could only say something about the UN and flip flop doctrines they call 'tacking in the wind' before the ~~gestapo~~ elders got to me.

what if we all printed up some flyers advertising ..........seek the truth about the truth.go to jw.com for the answers to questions youv'e had or may have.read articles from the watchtower that the society hopes you will never find.. could we legaly put those on their windshields during a meeting?im sure we could do it at least once,and then if asked to leave comply with their wishes.its a well nown fact that out of 100 or 1000 or 100,000 that some will take the bait and check it out just due to human curiousity.. if we all started using the same informal preaching as them such as dropping flyers at laundry mats and phone booths and grociery stores etc you would think it would catch on.i havent counted all the members of this board and how many countries are represented but it sure looks like a lot to me.. what do you guys and gals think?..............ken

A little manna from above never hurt the pre-christian Jews but its doubtful the anti-christian ones would really appreciate it.

is there a way of finding out this info?

also how many members are there altogether?.

400 a month! And they think it's their light that's getting brighter! Lonelysheep, it is getting brighter for the 'thirsty ones'. We're coming here for some pure water and a steady light.

Mindless Meetings and Bored Dubs

"we'd like to excuse those that have talks in the second school, and those that would like to listen.".

alright, so i am sitting at the meeting last week and i hear that very typical repetitive announcement.

i start to look around and i realize that it is the same people every week who go to the back to sit in the second school.

I've found it helpful to cut a few pages out of IN SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN FREEDOM & read them during the meeting. Too bad the borg can't think well enough to start reading C o C and In Search of Christian Freedom at the meetings. Attendance would go through the roof. With this in mind, we recommend to all congregations the following order of study: (1) Read the paragraph in ~~The Watchtower~~ (or other publication) Crises of Conscience or In Search of Christian Freedom; (2) Call on those raising their hands who want to discuss the paragraph and supporting scriptures.

There should be a number of advantages in reading the paragraphs before they are discussed. This will quickly refresh the minds of all who have studied over them in advance, and in the event some have not been able to do this previous to the meeting, the reading will at least familiarize them with the material before it is discussed. Everyone will be encouraged to concentrate on the reading, rather than look ahead for more truth about the truth in the next paragraph. Those who are shy, or who are slow in organizing their thoughts, will be able to prepare better to put their words together and so gain confidence to raise their hands. There should be freer participation and fuller discussion of the finer details of the expose', with emphasis on the application of how to get out from under the WTBTS heavy thumb before passing on to the reading of the next paragraph.

This new arrangement should be a blessing to all of God?s people, as they seek to "be filled with the accurate knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension, in order to walk worthily of Jehovah."?Col. 1:9, 10.

What a blessing to Jehober's people it would be to consider real truth instead of BS.

I like the Dub's letter because it's so typical....

From "making full use" of Satan's World to Prominent and Well Respected Blah Blah Blah Pioneer in 10 easy weeks of agreeing with everything no matter how stupid it appears because the "friends" are so impressed with the dub's desire to be educated by Jehober.

Maybe this one will stick around in the organisation being well fed until "Mother" is arrested, convicted and executed by Jehober for screwing with people's minds and lives, blaspheming Jehober, rewriting the bible to make "Mother" look so good, callously ignoring orphans and widows in their tribulation and promoting such 'brotherly love to others.

If he survives the Big A he'll find out just how loving Jehober's organisation really was.

What was your favorite thing about service?

i used to love break time.

especially if it was afternoon service, and we stopped at taco bell.

i used to be damn good at eating tacos in the car without spilling anything.

Going to a door by myself and talking with the owner of the house (used to call them a householder but I never found that word in a real bible) about their family, job, politics, and Tenessee Football.

Those were the days I really liked going 'out in service' and proclaiming 'judgement on 'Satan's World', whatever that means?
