You'll love it here. You might even reject all the WT beliefs while you're at it.
Enjoy,

Did the bookstudy overseer ever phone you for your "time" and nothing else?
by truthseeker inthis happened fairly recently.
my book study overseer who never calls if i am absent at the meeting, will call me with clockwork regularity at the beginning of the month and ask for my field service report.
has this ever happened to you?

He finally quit calling except to have the other dubs drive by to see who was visiting.

Have any of you experienced a spiritual 'dead end'?
by truth_about_the_truth inlet's face it...most of us were or still are a part of this org.
because we felt a need to bring some meaning or purpose into our lives.. at the beginning there are lot of things that catch our attention, seem to make sense and feel ourselves progressing as individuals.. upon studying, meditating, pioneering, reaching out for privileges, etc.
(doing everything the society pushes).

Hopefully, more Jw's will become former JW's when they find out who the real apostates are. Then again, it may be more important to them to keep their friends and not have to face the world alone. I like it when the dubs ask "But where else can we go?" as if it is where and not to whom as the disciples asked.
Bob (of the confirmed and unrepentant WT apostate class)

Spies in the congregation
by chappy inthe article that bothered me the most was when they said if you work in a doctors office you must report to the elders if a brother or sister comes to the doctor with a (questionable) problem..
i read this comment by galaxy7 in an older post, never heard this before.
does anyone know which publication?.

All of the above. Besides, the JWs are in a righteous standing before God as his faithful witnesses. That must be the reason it took so long to be de-programmed, God just had to know I was doing His will by eating cheese on my fellow unbelievers.

Memories of my judicial committee meeting....
by kitties_and_horses_oh_my! inyou know, i was reading one of the posts about how dubs rat each other out - and good god, i was excellent at that, i even frickin ratted myself out, sad really!
it brought to mind my judicial committee meeting: .
i'd been employed in a job that required skip-tracing.

It cuts my heart in half to hear how they encourage and comfort 'erring ones' the WT way.
The elder arrangement is such a
hatefulloving provision from the FDS. Walking by spirit not by the letter of the law is foreign to them. I'm very happy you have it in you. -

Last night at the book study 5 minutes spent on discussion about apostates
by PaNiCAtTaCk inthings that were said.
apostates want everyone to believe jehovah doesnt care about them and this was referred to as a satanic lie that apostates want you to believe and this satanic lie was even referred to in the prayer.
(i really dont know where they got this or what exactly caused the society to publish this but this is what was said in the "draw close to jehovah" book).

Hmmm... That's interesting. Never heard that before, either. As far as Jehovah not caring about anyone... the dubs don't really know who Jehovah (actually YHWH, maybe Yahweh but certainly not pronouced Jehovah[no J sound in Hebrew]) is so it is not surprising they are confused on this issue. He cares about everyone not just the so called 144,000(another twisted doctrine of the WTBTS).
Not wanting to preach about the Kingdom... No, I will not preach about the WT Kingdom as it can be summed up in reading 2 John 7-11. However, it is a privilege to be able to help others find the Jesus of the Bible instead of the WT Jesus.

Is it legal for the WT to Disassociate someone?

and that when you want to leave you disassociate - your action.
how is it that the wt can da you?

I agree though - how can they justify treating one who just leaves as 'wicked, and unrepentant'? But remember who we are dealing with here!
I never thought of myself as 'wicked and unrepentant' because I quit the club when I discovered their alliance with the UN. I'm sure the local dubs still don't know the real reason. They get fed with so much BS anything said will be viewed as coming from God so let those losers believe what they will.
