Whose God are you worshipping??

in the early writings of the bible its mentioned that the israelites worshiped false gods, gods of the stars and other celestial bodies.

ezekiel even bloviates against this in his writings and king josiah is said to have abolish these practices.

jeremiah mentions that god would even destroy the city were sun worship was being practiced a place called bethshemesh in egypt.

Nice points crazy, I believe that you're on to something for sure. Outside of scriptures & history, this can be considered With Logic & Reason alone.

The God that created the Universe, is a God of Order, when he sets one law in place, he does not at a later time scrap that law, and replace it. If this God were to change principles in nature, because he was emotional or mad.. The Universe would fall apart..

Wih this Unchangeable nature in Mind.. Things like this can't happen - Prov 12:10 "Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel." Compared to Joshua 11:6 "Joshua did to them as the LORD had directed: He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots."

I don't know when and where the different Gods interchange, however it seems to be a sure thing, that there were many or several Gods. Another forum member, recently brought this to my attention- "Stephen, the first martry, quoted someting in Isaiah about when Israel wandered for 40 years they weren't following God but following a different one and his star."

i popped into the supermarket for a few things after work today and found myself walking up an aisle alongside a couple who used to be in my tuesday group.

i see them reasonably often and always say hello much to their obvious annoyance.

why did the sacrifice have to be so brutal... i mean what value does that add to the equation of justice.couldn't he jesus have came down and just been slaughtered like a regular sacrifice without the brutal torture.why is justice served by brutalityanyone anyone bueller... lolnow you know i don't like to type for hours but this is always bothered me

@Mephis - Einstein,Schrodinger,Tesla,Oppenheimer,Sagan,Bohr,Heisenberg - The Most Influential Physicists / Scientists of this Era ALL extensively studied the Vedas.

Why would these Brilliant Minds spend so much time studying the Vedas and making known public-ally their great adoration of the Vedas, if they are simply books with some "fun" ideas in them, as you put it?

Don't get me wrong, my argument is not intended to Prove that God inspired these books.. Rather my point is that these books are perhaps the greatest and most substantial literary works to ever come into existence... And this deserving of attention, for any one with an ounce of intellectual desire.
