  please spare a moment to consider the difiiculties faced by gay jehovahs witnesses.

  i was raised and baptised as a very serious jw.

  every waking moment of my day was lived for jehovahs and his organization and for nothing else.

  I'm very sorry you experienced this.

  We were all brainwashed to hate homosexuality as a Cardinal sin. There is so much ignorance about homosexuality in the Borganization. It is unfathomable.

  i hope the discussions and atmosphere here do not change for it is a bubbling brew of doubt, bravery and sincere hunger for answers.

  these are healthy ingrediants for humans and especially for a jehovah's witness.. this forum offers not just the ability to ask without consequence, but it also offers the means to be real.

  Dilemma

  gorby and his lovely wife had during dinner a chat about watchtower hypocrisy.

  she faded with me since 2007 and shows sometimes affection for the organization.. we talked about the gb and ray franz.. she asked me if she could read my ray franz books.. now i have a dilemma.

  the books gave me a hard time in the '90.. i know the ray franz truth can hurt and shock her so much.

  So Happy to Learn About Homemade Weed Killer

  three days ago we mixed up the recipe and sprayed the driveway cracks and several places where the weeds have been hard to get rid of.. today the weeds are dead just like when we've sprayed commercial weed killer.. mix one gallon white vinegar, 1 cup salt, 5 to 6 tablespoons of dawn dishwashing liquid.

  note: don't spray if it's fixin' to rain, wait for dry weather so the stuff will stay on the weeds.

  and don't spray where you want anything to grow ever!.

  Oh I've used the corn gluten meal. It prevents seeds from germinating and weed seeds tend to germinate earlier than grass seed. So you put it on your lawn in late fall or winter, IIRC, and it reduces weeds, then wears off and breaks down as a nutrient in your lawn.

  You guys have not seen people selling, say, an iPhone, pictured between 2 bare breasts? There's lots of that on eBay. It's against the rules, so they're shut down if discovered. But lots get posted initially.

  LisaRose, I was a big Regretsy fan. It was hilarious. I was just looking at something on Etsy yesterday and I liked the item. If it was just a pic of the item, I might have bought it. But the item (a ceramic piece) was modeled by a woman who appeared to have not bathed or groomed herself in a long time. There were close-ups of her hands with filthy fingernails. I didn't buy it because of that.

  RoundUp is so bad. We had someone spray it on our property and now we're battling an ant infestation. Pesticides suck.

  I have also used boiling white vinegar as a weed killer. Just heat it up in your microwave and pour on. Best results when you do it on a sunny day so the sun helps you.

  Some people will go to great lengths to get their auctions to stand out. Misuse of keywords, models wearing the item for sale while mostly naked or in provacative poses in the background, etc. I don't know if they're nuts, brilliant businesspeople, or both. Amusing though!

  things in general, and things wt/jw related ?.

  i find i am much more relaxed and pragmatic about life in general, mrs phizzy and i do what we can, but we don't get overly upset at what we cannot do.

  my friend, mike works as a massage therapist, and there is a woman at the shop that is super-jw-woman and is constantly hounding him with things.. today, he's messaging me and he tells me that she was trying to push a brochure or something on him.

  he said he'd really rather not read a religious pamphlet.. so... she says, "it's not religious... it's from god.".

  isn't that kinda what religious means?

  Counting her time? Walk away, be inaccessible, change the subject and talk incessantly so she can't get a word in.

  Being right? You got that one covered.

  Controlling him (using the captive audience to say whatever she wants)? Walk away, say you don't believe she's right, say no to everything she says, talk nonsense back to her so she tires out.

  My strategy is to figure out what the dub is getting out of this behavior, and then remove that reward. B.F. Skinner said that works. So did Sheldon. Chocolate?
