  Are You Vegetarian Or Not?

  with all the "food" "fluff" larc has started, it has made me wonder how many here are vegetarian or meat eaters.. i like my meat in winter, but only in very small amounts.. summertime i go completely vegetarian and relish fruits and vegetables.. how about you??.

  Question: Why would the act have been recorded?

  So he can relive it later on for his enjoyment, probably.

  i just received the following message from a friend this morning.. barbara.

  eloise dupuis, 27 years old, died at the hotel dieu hospital in lévis, quebec, canada, wednesday, october 12th.

  she died because of her religious principles.

  The article here indicates some of her friends doubt she refused blood. We'll see what the investigation reveals.

  "I would like to to know if Éloïse consented to not having a blood transfusion, if she had the chance to express herself, if she had the opportunity to make an informed decision," Manon Boyer, Dupuis's aunt, told Radio-Canada.

  A group of friends of Dupuis told Radio-Canada they plan to file a complaint with the Lévis police for criminal negligence.

  "We don't know if she refused the blood transfusion," Cassandra Zelezen, a childhood friend of Dupuis, said.

  She said they want to know if family prevented medical staff from providing a blood transfusion without the consent of Dupuis.

  in their sick and twisted bubble that they live in, the jehovahs witnesses clearly have no idea about the logistical nightmare of disposing of 7.5 billion corpses.. when i heard an elder once say that it will be a joy to clear away the wicked from the earth, he actually had a smile on his face.. can they even begin to imagine what 7.5 billion dead men, women, children & babies looks like?.

  Why cant Judicial Committees be taped?

  i have never understood this.

  was it because of legal reasons?

  i cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but i know the elders ask you repeatedly that you are not taping.

  That way you won't have to lie when they say no and they'll stop looking for the camera. You might also ask if they're recording it.

  I used to pioneer in cold weather, and am a lot more sensitive to cold than most people. I used to bundle up--many layers, as blondie described. But for me, the skirts always kept me colder. The air just goes right up them.

  But again, I am way more sensitive to cold than most people.

  I personally think they look like fundie cultists in that photo. I thought we looked the same way back when I did it too.

  I would just start the recorder before I went into the room, if it is legal in my location. Usually you can record your own conversations w/o the knowledge of the other person, if I'm not mistaken.

  If you have a motive to record it then maybe you have enough motive to conceal the fact you're doing it.

  When I had mine in the 1980s, I had no small recorder and had no interest in recording it. I went under duress and didn't care what was said--it wouldn't have affected the outcome. I had already left the organization at that point.

  Well, that statement has a few assumptions in it:

  1. jdubs dislike Trump's politics
  2. jdubs think a business deal with Trump's relative would impact them negatively
     
  3. jdubs wouldn't sell the property to someone who's politics they don't like

  I can't believe any of those things are true:

  1. jdubs are supposed to be politically neutral, but they're really not--they're actually Tea Party Conservatives in all cases I'm aware of--I am hard pressed to think of one thing about Trump they disagree with IRL, and they do think it's an abomination for a female to be a leader
     
  2. I think they believe their reputation wouldn't be affected by dealing with the son-in-law
  3. I think they do not care who they sell the property to as long as they get a good price quick

  the communist party has just enacted much tougher laws that criminalise christians if they do not pledge loyalty to the state.. chinese president xi jinping has warned that all religions now have to become "chinese" and the new laws will attempt to bring churchgoers and their leaders under party control.. the new laws will put the state firmly in charge, giving the communist party the ability to hire and fire church leaders and change religious doctrine to make it more chinese.... that means churchgoers will have to pledge loyalty to the communist party first.. there is good reason to be afraid.

  chinese authorities have already started the crackdown in the christian heartland in the southern province of zhejiang.. it's been extensive and brutal.

  I don't think they would pull a Malawi again, but who knows? It sure did people in other countries feel safe knowing they are in the one true religion that gets persecuted, without having to be persecuted themselves.

  I remember writing Malawi letters as you mentioned in #5, but I don't recall being aware of this happening with Hitler.

  You could make another option:

  Option 8: Write the Chinese government a letter saying how they support its ideals (like they did with Hitler).
