so a bank that freely violates the law, commits massive fraud, launders drug money and lies to investors is too moral to take money from porn stars.

one of the things i realized as an ex-jw is that masses of people are deceived and distracted by sexual mischief/sins while ignoring vastly more harmful wrongdoing in general society.

Thanks judi and zeb, yup, my daughter is visiting and she was at a young age and sadly very influenced by a good jw 'scioclo (sp?) path: (my professionaly influenced judgment call')

I am in a supportive and happy situlation now, but this is just one of the times it all comes back to life.

Yes, I just may be just tired, it's just there have been so many years in between.

I ask, will this ever just go away! I thought when my 'oh so devout parents died, so would the religeous garbage'.

hmmmm, is that just too much to ask for?

How do you deal with them? I am having many. From experiencing falsely based family accusations. Commitee meetings (old term). And, having to accept counsel which was based on 'well, you slept with your husband again so now you cannot get a scriptural divorce and must now be a good example) even though he is abusive in all ways imaginable.

Granted, this was many, many years ago, but, every once in a while it pops up and the internal arguments and conversation are frustrating and, sheesh, I cannot fall asleep...!! Yes, I have had much professional counsil in the past. This problem only pops up with many years in between. Looking for personal success information and not just, 'go see a professional'.

And, no, I am not depressed. Just weird episodes which I can live without!!

that's my wife's canned "encouragement" for me lately.

odd, i haven't named any people that have caused me any distress lately.

if anything, it's the organization itself, specifically the business end of it, that bothers me.. the legal posturing as concerns individual congregations actions in matters that could escalate into courtroom matters,.

i asked her who told her that as i knew the school would not have covered that subject , she replied " nobody told me , i just know it "!

i have heard that children have a better memory of that kind of thing but i was still amazed !.

Robdar: a friend of mine, female and gentile, happened to watch a show on tv about the holocaust and was able to describe the rooms within one of the prisons prior to them actually being shown on the show.

) aunt, wife to presiding elder uncle, stated to all the family and medical staff present as my dad was being wheeled in for hip surgery.

i have been out for 30+ years.

I certainly doubted her statement and had to staunch a giggle. the only non-jws present were myself, 1 sister and the medical staff out of about 12. I was actually very embarrased as I doubted the existence of jw scientists or doctors capable of doing such work.

My Dad had agreeded to having his lost blood recycled and used (which ended up not needing to be used) He was a tough elder in his day and this suprised me as when I was 'in' even this was not condoned. Many changes apparently.
