  Monopoly - Bethel /JW Edition

  i was playing monopoly the other night and reminiscing on the different editions (i have the british, london one) - have played the american one, and various continental, and there are various ''movie'' editions -well, last night as i was playing, i was thinking how much fun a jw one would be....need a bit of input for this... eg, started to snigger when i picked up the ''it's your birthday.....'' i suggest ''it's your birthday, collect a shunning from each player''.

  then there's the free parking , err....''free bible study''?

  JW's say they don't have a clergy class, whay do you think?..

  i remember back 8 years ago when i left the organization the elders were being called "jehovah's special appointed ones".

  i thought to myself that this was starting to become a clergy class.

  i mean if that doesn't set you about the rest of the flock, i don't know what does.

  Blimey UncleBruce - That's a list and a half. I don't remember ANYTHING in the Scriptures about a hierarchy - I must have missed a few Watchtowers.

  I was Molested by my CO grandfather

  i was molested by my grandfather from the age of 3 to 7. he was also molesting his daughter (my aunt) and maybe others.

  it was covered over and my entire family was actually shunned when we went to the elders when i was 18. i did not tell anyone about it until then because my grandfather had me believing our relationship was special and it was our little secret.. when confronted, he of course denied it.

  my mother even spoke up of a time when he had tried to molest her when she was 8 months pregnant with one of my brothers.

  You said he IS a JW kay - still???? I think young mothers in the Congregation ought to be made aware of who these people are - then let's see if they trust their 'brothers' or their own instincts.

  Good Point LittleToe - I wonder how long it will be before WTBTS points to a Scripture which says to breed as much and fast as possible (have to make the numbers up somehow).

  BLOOD card - in a nutshell

  i know they are renewed yearly, and here's my dilemma......my mother being a devout jw (and me well faded) - i know i am named on her card as next of kin (she mentioned it a few weeks ago) and over the years she has always asked me to stand against the blood issue on her behalf if she's unable to do so.

  i have always agreed, because whatever i believe, i also respect the belief of others too.

  now i'm wondering what exactly is on there........is it a flip flop?

I have always agreed, because whatever I believe, I also respect the belief of others too. Now I'm wondering WHAT exactly is ON there........is it a flip flop? I'd hate to support something that someone's LIFE depends on only to find out that their faith is in changing rules and NOT God's Word ......can anyone tell me the current blood issue? It all seems a bit vague to me - I read that it's admissible in life threatening situations (but WHO'S to judge what is 'life-threatening'?)....

  As I haven't seen a blood card in years, can anyone list me the ''permitted'' stuff'' - many thanks :)

  Brownboy, do you go ''on the service'' with other Jehovahs' Witnesses? Do you place many Watchtowers?Conduct Bible studies? You appear (and forgive me if I am wrong, as I am elatively new), to ''go it alone'' - what postion do you hold in the 'Organisation' - you say you are one of the Remnant, is that correct?
