Jews 4 Jesus....Do they believe and what do they believe.

many years ago i started talking to the jewish community.

and a part of my heritage, i have jewish blood flowing through me, also.

but that's not importanbt at the moment..what is, is that do the jews believe as a christian?....

Yeah, use to know a family that were Jewish. I met up with their father about 5 years ago and he told me he doesn't believe in all that JW stuff anymore. I still believed at that time, but didn't shun him! He was in my brother's (my sibling brother)house anyway. Still would have spoken to him regardless of where this Jewish person was! But anyway, I think I got the impression his family didn't believe in it anymore either.

I am pretty certain that there are Jewish people in Bethel too. There are almost 2 million Jewish people in New York (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Jew) -- so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of them in Bethel.

THEY SHARE AT LEAST ONE HUNDRED SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH! THERE
IS 25 ON THE SITE BELOW, I ADDED ANOTHER 75 IN MY NOTEBOOK AT HOME!!!!

1. Centralized World-wide church government from which all official doctrine
comes. The Pope and the Governing body.

2. A city where world headquarters permanently resides: Rome, Italy and
Brooklyn, NY, USA

3. Authority of this "world organization" is not to be questioned.

4. Both consider God to be the head of the world organization.

5. Both the Pope and the Governing body both claim inspiration.

6. Both organizations are "spirit directed" by God.

7. A simple definition of both is as follows: "Definition of a Catholic/Jw:
'Someone who accepts Rome/Brooklyn as God's visible spirit-directed theocratic
organization upon the earth.

8. Both have official yearly meetings of the world leaders.

9. The official doctrines that have changed dramatically over time.

10. Both claim "new light" or progressive revelation to explain doctrinal
changes.

11. Both teach the organization is supreme over the Bible rather than the Bible
being supreme over the organization.

12. The average members are told by the organization that they cannot understand
the Bible without the help of the official organization.

13. Both discourage independent thinking from the world organization.

14. Both continue to blindly follow the organization in spite of major doctrinal
changes, reversals and flip-flops.

15. Both "explain away" doctrinal changes, reversals and flip-flops by claiming
"new light".

16. Both view every other church as heretical and false.

17. No salvation outside of their organization.

18. The word of the organization is unquestionably final.

19. Interpreting the Bible is the sole right of the organization.

20. Both make claims that because of their size, growth, activity, they must
have the truth.

21. Both have authoritative writings in addition to the Bible. Creeds,
catechisms and the watchtower.

22. Both teach that you cannot understand the Bible unless you compare the Bible
with their official "authoritative writings" Creeds and Watchtower.

23. Both have an official clergy system with special privileges and rights the
common member does not have. Priests and the Governing body.

24. Both have system of monasteries where "most holy and dedicated" selflessly
pledge to do the "work for God" without any material rewards. No children are
allowed in both. Catholic = monasteries; JW = Bethel

25. Both cover up sexual molestation between men and children. We know that
pedophilia can happen anywhere, schools, sports teams and churches. Covering up
such acts is wrong. The CBC program, "The Fifth Estate" aired a TV program on
Sept 12, 2003 documenting how sexual abuse is routinely covered up in the
Kingdom Hall’s of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Catholic church has a similar history
of covering up sexual abuse cases.

I can't understand why you are so upset. The title says "Jehovah's Witnesses and the Trinity." I think the discussion I am having with Hellrider, is just typical of what takes place when this subject is ever brought up. I am offended, because I am giving my imput here. And initially I was annoyed that people at large criticize the JW's because of John 1:1 and I explained as you said "I feel that arguing the Trinity with a JW, 99x out of 100 will do more harm than good, ESPECIALLY when coming from an X-JW, as it gives them "proof" that, once a person "leaves Jehovah," they become susceptible to all manner of demonic thought. (In the JW's eyes.)" Your first post is trying to say how to discuss the trinity without offending JW's? And you said that you only know 2 people who left the JW's because of this trinititarian belief. And I can't help the answer that I gave. There is no easy answer. You know yourself how stubborn they are.

Sometimes people won't give you a direct answer to what you are talking about, because they may feel it's an erroneous question and we all just answer it the best way we can. By getting to the root cause of the problem, will explain why a trinity discussion is useless with the JW's. I know the guy you are talking about Jeff Schwem. I don't know him personally but have seen his website.

I would assume that's what you mean, so why get all "worked up" on me?

I am just greatful there is a message board where we discuss our feelings towards JW's, their doctrines, why they believe them, what we believe now, our loved ones who are still caught up in the movement. I mean am greatful for having a open discussion on things.

At times we go into threads, and someone might say, "I've got proof that Charles Taze Russel was a Mason." And you go in there, and that particular person says they are only joking. Now, don't you think that threads like that are disappointing? Then you see the funny side of it and think it's no big deal, and it probably doesn't matter if he was a Mason or not, because the guy was such a pyramid crackpot anyway -- he's tombstone is in the shape of a pyriamid, that just proves how strange he was!

I've never seen you come on my threads, but do I complain? No! You probably never liked me and don't have any respect for what I say! I've been here since the start of the year and you've ignored me all this time, but you are free to whoever you talk to. I've had threads which only 6-7 people reply, I see others where no one replies at all. So what! These things happen! There are 1000's of people registered with a whole ton of beliefs. And you can't expect everyone to give what you want on a thread.. I mean, hell, I've emailed Ray and other authors, and don't get replies that I want -- possibly because they don't want to answer it or have no need or maybe they don't know how to answer!

I'll PM Hellrider because you don't seem to like freedom as much as I do.

Oh come on!!! Don't be so ridiculous! Don't you get it? We are both pirates because I have a bit of Norweigan in me too! We are both practicing sword fighting.... If you read my post, it says practice sword fighting. It was all complementary towards him!

You obviously don't have a sense of humor!!! ...Next time read the posts a little better before drawing any conclusions!
