Your high school teachers, good or bad memories?
by greendawn ingoing back to the days of your high (secondary) school what sort of memories do you have of your teachers?
were they competent in teaching and caring about you personally or were they inept, rude and indifferent?
if you met them today how would you feel and react towards them?

2006 Special Convention only for a select group to be delegates
by juni init was announced that for the 2006 int'l convention overseas, only pioneers for at least 15 years or elders for atleast 15 years are allowed to be delegates.
has there always been restrictions on who can attend?
i can't remember as it's been so long ago.

What Would You Risk Your Life Over?
by Mecurious? ini see people doing stupid things that involve risking their life for jobs that don't even pay that much or some other sillines, like not giving up a car to an armed robber.. relate incidents where this has happened and name some things that you'd risk life and limb over.. m'.

My family is very clanish. We may fight like cats and dogs with each other but if an outsider makes a comment about any in our family, WATCH OUT! We all will attack. I will protect my brothers and sisters but top protection goes to my wife, sons and to the one to whom my youngest son has given his heart to. We wait for her to join our family.

there are so many unwritten laws, but most witnesses know when it's wrong to sit next to someone.. name a few cases, when it's ok to sit next to someone, and when it's not ok?

Is there anyone with accurate information on this. The Watchtower could create an account within the United Way Fund to get a number for employees that do not wish to donate directly to any of the United Way groups to donate directly to WT. Question. Does the UW keep any of the donated funds for their own administrative costs. Even if it is a penny per dollar or penny per five. I don't believe the UW would provide money laundering services for the WT for free.

Well, a single brother shouldn't sit next to a single sister, unless they are dating.
Actually unless they are engaged. If they sit next to each other and are just dating and then something happens that ends the relationship then the gossip really flies as to what happened that they broke up.

The society will never, NEVER, publish the KM over the net. They are a publishing company and are in it for the money. Congregations pay for each piece of paper that they receive. The society would lose money by making the KM available electronically.

Best day for assembly?

my wife and i want to go on the day when they say the stuff that really pushes obedience and stuff so we can really see what they are all about.
what does everyone think the best day to go is and why?

Problems in paradise
by gringojj ini know there are a ton of problems with the idea of paradise.
i was just thinking about how much sense it doesnt make.
for example how is it supposed to work as far as housing arrangements?

Obviously some posting here do not believe that God has the ability to take care of the earth. With attitudes like that, one will never want to understand how something can be corrected. If they did, then they would have to accept the foolishness of their childish questionings. You say "look at the big picture". I say "Look at the creator of the universe" Since he created the earth and everything else, certainly he can touch the moon and correct its course when its necessary. The scriptures state that the earth was made to be inhabited, that it would stand to times indefinate. Since you are looking at the big picture, can I assume that you don't look at scripture for any answers?
Those who have posted here who understand paradise, have put their trust and faith in God to correct the environmental problems and remove from the earth, those who continue to have a selfish and greedy mindset.
